Elements+
Apr 2 2009

ANDYAU  I read a review of Elements+ from ATPM. On the surface it all sounds fantastic, particularly with regard to unlocking the Curves feature.

One concern I have, will unlocking hidden features of Photoshop Elements affect future Adobe updates and upgrades?

ANDYAU  Excellent. Works a charm. BTW, Tassie's Southern Cross now has a new star logo.

ANDYAU  My problem solved by rebuilding the database from the help menu. Thanks anyway Bruji, you offer good support...even though I didn't need it in the end. (adding more stars!)

CONOR  Thanks. When changing to the new date format, there were some date fields that we forgot to update in the early release version. The database rebuild takes care of fixing the dates to work with the new version.

ANDYAU  The database still doesn't update correctly. All the information appears in the Edit pane but nothing appears in the Draw (running OS10.4.1)

NORA  Could you send us your info.xml and info.rebuild.xml files? They are located inside your Bookpedia data folder: ~Library/Application Support/Bookpedia. That way we can take a look at what might be going wrong with your drawer information and why it's not being displayed correctly.

Our email is support@bruji.com

Kind regards,

Nora

ANDYAU  Lucky for me I stuck with the old SwapTop 1.9 which had the ability to export Webshots to jpeg.

ANDYAU  I've been waiting for this one too. I now have the whole 'Pedia set which I find much more user friendly than Library. As this is only version 1.0, I'm sure there'll be lots of additional features and bug fixes in the next version.

One thing I did notice... after using the Scan CD feature a few times, the search became unresponsive. I had to quit CDPedia and relaunch it.

ANONYMOUS  No problem. It actually was pretty easy with the help of code that Ken Ferry had made available to anyone. And for exactly that reason, all software should be open source.

ANDYAU  I like the new click on a date calender feature. A lot easier than having to type it in.

Suggestion for a future release: how about text auto-complete in the Discription column, similar to how text auto-completes in the URL field of a web browser. I've seen this feature in a few other apps as well. I have several transactions where I have to tyoe out the same thing each month... "Pay", "Interest", "Visa transfer" etc.

Keep up the great work. Cashbox would be worth every cent if it was sharware.

ANONYMOUS  I'm planning that in the future, actually. It's something that would be useful for me, too. It may be a while before it makes its way into the application, but it would be a very nice feature.

And if you think the application is worth paying for, you can always donate a few dollars via Paypal. There's a link on my site. If you don't want to, you don't have to, though. My reason for developing the application was that there was no free financial application out there. Thanks for the feedback! It is very appreciated.

Avid Free DV

*½...

ANDYAU  I recently uninstalled Avid FreeDV, giving up in frustration due to the lack of documentation. However, keeping an opened mind, I've decided to give it another go. This updated version now includes Help Files (yay!) I'll be having a good read of these before I attempt it this time around.

ANDYAU  I haven't used Photo-To-Movie in the last few releases and with this lastest release (2.6.2) my registration key doesn't work. Do I have to re-register?

Movie Archive

ANDYAU  Movie Archive is so easy to use. It's also good value for money. All the basic requirements are there: tape number, discriptions and the capture/browse window. What more to you need. Easy to import media across to Final Cut or iMovie

I've looked at similar software like CatDV (personal edition) with puzzlement and choked on their price.

At version 1.0 Movie Archive shows a lot of promise.
