TOMEM  Are there plans to include a checkbox to "add to menu" when choosing a destination folder? That would be a very natural place for users to add items to their menu, and is a feature I'd much like to see...

KRAZYKAT  Question: I accidentally added a folder to the 'Move to' menu. Is there an easy way to remove it?

Thanks for this much needed addition to the Mac.

MAC5  I have the same problem as SUPERMATT has.. Its tells me it can't be installed for the same reasons.. Most odd, because I too have never previously installed this particular CM on my Mac..

SUPERMATT  Refuses to install...error msg says can't delete the com.abracode.QuickAccessSetup.plist item in my user prefs folder...even though one never existed!?

The Troubleshooting says I should change my Contextual Menu folder permissions to system/admin even though they are now user/user with read/write permission for me? And when I NEVER have had a problem with ANY other contextual menu item install? Seems to me that the author should be adjusting HIS program to fit the way users work, not ME changing my settings to fit HIS program! Call me crazy, but I like EASE OF USE, not apps that make me jump through lame hoops to install them...FREE OR NOT! :)

CM-JUNKIE  For two years now in my usage, it was and is a fast, stable and productive CM. Very handy for dealing with daily routines.

Thanks a lot.

SANDRIFT  This is great! I've always been annoyed that the Finder's baseline contextual menu contains the ability to make a new folder, but not the ability to open a new Finder window - now I can use QuickAccessCM to do it.

Unsanity's Fruit Menu has lots more features, but it's shareware ($10), and I didn't need all the extra stuff. QuickAccessCM is nonetheless pretty capable and the price (free) can't be beat.

Although I rated stability highly, I haven't had it installed all that long yet.

JIMW  I have been using this product for at least 6 months now. First of all I should confess that I am a contextual menu freak and I never have plugged in my Apple Mouse. Instead I use a multibutton trackball and I recommend a 2-button (or more) mouse or trackball to everyone because of contextual menus. Contextual menus are powerful, timesaving tools that allow users to do this with a single hand and a single click that would otherwise take multiple keystrokes, movements and clicks. Once you learn, it just makes using you Mac easier, faster, more intuitive and more fun. That is where Quick Access comes in.

This single FREE program functions as a program launcher, and allows you to copy, open and move files to your favorite locations, almost instantly. Not only that, it also is easy to use and learns on the fly. I have found it to be extremely stable and it does not interfere with any of my other apps or software. What more could you ask for. There are a lot of shareware products around that do similar functions or the same thing, or less, but given this product, I don't feel you need them.

If your looks for a contextual app launcher, that is Panther compatible, or a file mover or file copier/opener, I suggest giving this product a try first before spending money on something else. You may find out that you might not need to. I rate this as one as my "must have" products.

JEFFERYTOWNE  QuickAccess SetUp 1.5.1 refused to run. I got no Contextual menu items from any of my other CMs after installing 1.5.1. It must a conflict of some kind. Everything works fine, again, after re-installing 1.5.

BCWINTERS  Handy and simple, and the price sure is right. Wish it had hierarchical folder support in the contextual menu itself (rather than using a file dialog box). Then it would be perfect.

SPIKEMAN  Great CM and a big time saver. Lessens the pain for those of us who still miss the classic Application Switcher or don't want a cluttered Dock. Free and simple. Two thumbs up!

THEBIMBO  Excellent applet that has become my most-used utility by far! Takes a few brain cells to set up to requirements and then simply incredibly useful - if you've got a few cells give it a whirl ;-) Definitely worth full marks.

CHRISTIAN SABORIO  No Andrew, your review should be more like "I suck, I am so stupid I cannot get an simple contextual menu to work". I installed it, quit the finder and it works great. Moving file is something that *needed* to be done in OS X long long time ago vi CM. Wish that the quick access would allow you to browse folder contents and such "a la" Pop Up folder. Oh yeah, once again Andrew, you are a retard.
