KRIT  Do you know the problem: you have a mac at home, a Windows pc at work and there might even be a Linux pc around. And as all of us, you have 100+ passwords to remember for all websites you visit, software registrations and more.

That is where PasswordVault comes in: it is multi-platform, can store all your passwords, is easy to use and best of all: you do not have to remember to copy your passwordfile to your USB stick and back on your pc, to your Mac....

PasswordVault has a secure on-line syncing tool!

Anyone with multiple computers or who's working with different computers should really take a look at PasswordVault. I admit it does not look so pretty as some other tools, it is not as cheap as Keepass, but it works great.

Just check it at their site, this is a free version that has all the functions but can only store 25 passwords, but the full version is cheap and well worth the money.

LOUNGE DELUXE  You must be the developer or otherwise involved with Lava Software. MacUpdate should remove your little comment (SPAM) for this.

PETER DA SILVA  There's nothing stopping you copying your keychain file to removable media. Apple's keychain supports multiple keychain files just fine, and I've copied mine around without problems.

ANONYMOUS  From the web page:

"Each desktop version below is bundled with 'PC-Mac PasswordVault2Go Lite', a product designed specifically to run directly on portable media such as USB drives, Zip disks, iPods, etc. You can now safely take all your service data with you on the road!"

Which is exactly what I was looking for. But I don't like the fact that they are not open about what encryption standard they use.

ANONYMOUS  Does it provide access to Apple's keychain?

If not, why the Hoobagedankeweiser not? Stick it on the shelf with all the other pointless password applications that duplicate what's already built in and all applications can already interface with so you don't need to cut-n-paste...

JEFMAR  This free application is the best of its kind on offer. It features a master password (with recovery procedure), buttons to copy passwords and usernames (making entries faster), and an extensive help document.
