	Nov 16 2007	OCJB I think I misunderstood the use of this file. I have an AGP PowerMac G4. It also has an ATI 9200 Mac Edition in a PCI slot. I was trying to enable Quartz Extreme by using this hack. My system will not reboot. Get grey screen, then blue screen. Nothing else, so I cannot get in to remove the changes made. Please help... (Version 3.1)		0

OCJB The AGP card that I installed, though originally deemed as "Quartz Extreme Compatible", showed up in System Profiler as incompatible.

I removed PCI Extreme from the system with help from the author due to the incompatiblity and upgrading the system beyond 10.4.3. The author has posted this information on the PCI Extreme! 3.1 MacUpdate page (http://www.macupdate.com/info.php/id/8979/pci-extreme%21) and probably other places as well.

	Jan 13 2006	BARONROBOT Worked like a charm under OS X 10.4.3 on my (upgraded to G4@800 by Sonnet) Yosemite, using an ATI Radeon 7000 64MB. Today, after updating to 10.4.4, I'm not able to use it and getting a kernel panic (grey screen asking to restart). Am I the only having this problem? (Version 3.1)		-1

	Oct 23 2005	ANONYMOUS I am about to install a Radeon 7000 64MB onto a G5 1.8 dual. I intend to install PCI Extreme 3.1 on OS 10.4.2. I know this is supposed to work, but I have another startup disk with 10.3.8 on it. Will PCI Extreme 3.1 work for both? I will let you know next wee how it went. (Version 3.1)		0

ZACK SCHILLING I'm not sure what is causing AGP-equipped towers to freeze on the blue screen when this patch is applied. I put a possible hotfix into the copy of 3.1 currently on the server for download. If you'd like to try it out, I'd appreciate it.

ANONYMOUS I downloaded it again and tried it to the same effect. Is the hotfix version up on the server yet? I probably should have mentioned i am using Tiger, since the hack worked previously in 10.3.9. thanks for the quick response :)

ALEC PETERS I am using an iBook G4 and get the same freeze on the blue startup screen. May I ask how you got your computer to startup again?

ANONYMOUS To boot up again I restarted holding down the shift button. This boots into safemode and skips loading of the CoreImage tweaked files. Once back into OS X just open PCI Extreme and choose the AGP option and restart as usual. You should be back to normal!

	Apr 30 2005	ANONYMOUS I tried using PCIExtreme 3.0 with a fresh install of retail Tiger (Build 8A428) on B&W G3 400mhz with 64mb Radeon 7000 PCI card. Error said that "Your CoreGraphics binary does not match one I know. Aborting the patch so I don't hose your install." I thought v3 would work with Tiger? Does it only work with older "Developer" builds? (Version 3.0)		0

This V3.0 version do this for you.

Also setting to MINDRAM 256 insted of 512 MB.

But 256 MB is a bit to less for OS X and QE.

PS: If you was an early bird, downloaded this V3.0 as it was announced, AND have only 256 MB RAM, better redownlod ist, because there was a little fault (265 insted of 256 MB setting).

Dev was informed and uploaded correct 256 MB setting now.

ANONYMOUS Agreed. I've spent THOUSANDS on my G5, just to watch expose poop out under the pressure. This really is a let down, Apple.

	Oct 28 2003	ANONYMOUS For those of you using PCI Cards with Panther, I tried this and discovered that it works great. I have AGP QE on my main video card, but run a number of additional monitors on 2 Radeon 7000 cards. Without PCI Extreme installed Expose was essentially useless for me; slow and clunky and ugly and horrid. With QE Enabled on the PCI cards, Expose works perfectly. This is really something Apple should have implemented. For me, QE has always worked well on PCI cards. Maybe they don't enable QE on PCI cards out of the box just because they want to sell newer systems. (Version 2.0)		0

	May 28 2003	ANONYMOUS Ok, I got a Beige g3 with PCI Radeon 32MB. I am running 10.2.6 on it. Applied the hack and didn't notice any different. Downloaded QE check and it said the system is not accelerated. Restore and reapplied it as custom(no AGP). QE check still say no. Wander why it didn't work. maybe Apple did something different in 10.2.6? (Version 2.0)		0

	May 22 2003	MAXEFAXE PCI Extreme makes Window-tasks in OS X more fluid and snappier, if you got a PCI-Radeon. Some tasks get much faster, but a few get a bit slower too. Some Finder-Movie-Previews don't work right with PCI-Extreeme but alltogether it is stable and very recommendable. (Version 2.0)		0

	Oct 22 2002	SIGNORE ROSSI It's blazing fast with the original Radeon PCI in my B/W G3/500. Windows open as snappy as in Mac OS 9!!! But it makes cpu-intensive applications like iTunes slower. It seems to be stable. (Version 2.0)		0
