SMTIPS  But who would care if anything that uses APE is ready or not? FAR too many issues using haxies.

CUNEYT  Is it just me, or is there no preferencepane for Cleardock in Systempreferences, because Shapeshifter and Windowshade got their own preferencepane each...

JAGOOAH  A nifty little app that does exactly what it says it will, and does it well! Heartily recommended, whether you have a PPC or Intel Mac.

VOTSHTOYALOOBLOO  It's in System Preferences, tho doesn't explain that anywhere which is annoying. I had to stumble upon it by accident when I went in to do something else

SHANE SMITH  I have come across a bug that doesn't seem to be a huge deal but is annoying. For some reason if you have Max installed, after installation when you tell ClearDock to start Max launchs instead of APE?

PECOS PETE  There is no need to install Ape if 1 wants a clear dock, just follow the instructions here:

PECOS PETE  Slava your correct, my appologies for not noticing it was an old mod. Btw I use TransparentDock. Ape was showing up in various crash logs as a possible culprit so I uninstalled it & havn't had any previously crashing Apps resurface.

ANONYMOUS  hmmm...this program runs fine under tiger except i noticed that when i changed the colors of the arrows under running apps, they sometimes flicker back to black when moving the mouse across the dock. Annoying....

BRNRDRGN  You do know that there is also TransparentDock right?(http://www.macupdate.com/info.php/id/6490).

I'm not against haxies or anything(I have WindowShade X and Xounds) but for TransparentDock, all you need to do is run it and look at a Dock that is far more customizable than ClearDock.

Just my 2 cents.

RAFIKI  I had no need for a "Clear Dock" so never tried this utility. I liked the subtle shading of the dock against the background. However, when I found a desktop pic I liked where icons needed a darker color to be easier to see, I decided to check out ClearDock.

This is a nifty app! In addition to removing the dock background, you can pick one of your own. Me? I just darkened my dock and stuck with the desktop pic I liked. Unsanity rocks!

I'm running 10.3.1 and ClearDock seems to work great.

CIV  Another great little haxie from Unsanity. The dock looks much better now. Also, great service and quick bug fixing. Wish Apple would do the same.

BINGO!  Cool haxie! The Dock looks a lot nicer without that sily background. Unsanity is developing hacks for Mac OS X that should have been build in by Apple! If only they could write one for Finder Labels (with hotkeys)... I miss this feature soo much!

ANONYMOUS  Nice, easy to use, but it still leaves a thin black line around the dock.
