JAMES  I'm running this on a G5 iMac 2 gig machine and it is excellent. Yes, you do need to muck around with ini files and it does help to read the forums.

Some cars are great and others hopeless and the same goes for tracks. It seems better to go for new tracks and cars as they are optimised for newer versions.

It also networks nicely with a PC I have, but again you need to muck around with the ini files.

It is quite realistic and Rudd has done a great job.

JEFF   I have to take back most of what I said in my previous review...I just needed a couple of days to get this simulator.

It does have those blasted .ini files, but once you get past them it's a very functional "game" (again, simulator really).

As said before you have to edit the blasted .ini files just to change the screen resolution.

The graphics are okay but what good are they if you car won't run after a few minutes (for some reason it maybes "blows" the engine after a few minutes/wipe-out).

I don't want to work at trying to play a game to relax!!!

MATT  good game runs great on a 1 ghz emac with a ati card 32 mb of vram mouse controls are a little difficult the graphics are great the best thing you can get cars and tracks for it.

ANDRé CARVALHO  It runs like hell on a 1.5 GHZ G4, 70fps @ 1440x900 fullscreen. People must have in mind that this game is not an arcade style game but a powerfull simulator that can be fully personalized. The main engine makes the magic, the rest is defined by the quality of the model's created by the contribuitors of the game... in my opinion a must!

GOSTCODER  Performance is laughable. Nice graphics do not make-up for poor game-play.

You have to edit these cursed "ini" files to change something as basic as the monitor resolution the games uses.

How do I change controller settings? How do I make the car do in reverse if I hit a wall dead on?

Maybe they'll have it fixed up in a few years.

CONNOR CARNEY  It's a good game, especially for a pre-release. It takes a LOT of resources though, especially for as (relatively) simple as it is. If you know about .ini files you can "tweak" it and it will run a little faster.

Overall, if you have processing power to burn, I recommend it. For anything with a single processor, though, it's likely to be too slow to play :-(.

YUSHIMIZU  Hey I downloaded this review, I played it, and realized how slow this thing is. On my 600mhz I book, it runs at 3.5fps. There also is a bug when you try to quit. The engine sounds are good though. I might recommend it to people with fast(very) machines.

IAN LUECK  Version 0.5 finally has sound, and the extra car and track plug-ins finally work. The game is slow, however; it runs at 10 fps on my 800 Mhz 512 MB RAM iMac, some cars don't work (due to version differences), and it's difficult to configure preferences. Still, it's free, and due to the huge amount of extras you can get, it's worth a try. The mouse controls are a little tricky at first, BTW.

WONDERL33T  YOU CAN USE THE KEYBOARD you just have to configure your .ini files for it.

A great app, fun to play, and free! Good graphics, runs great on my 450 dual G4 with Radeon 9000 Pro. It never locks up, but a couple cars do cause the program to quit. Fun, runs good, and free, I think this is a keeper.

When it' opens the window is filled with the current screen but upside-down! I can watch the upside-down image change when I go to force-quit it. This is worse than when it was at 0.00001.

I'ts very new, so I won't rate it yet.

JEEPEE  WARNING!! Jaguar completely crashed!! When I turned off my mac and started 9.2.2 my 10.2-partition was gone, I was asked to initialise it....

Lucky for me I had DiskWarrior and Jaguar was completely restored!!!!

I'm sure this program will be great in the near future, but for now.... I won't try it again...
