MEGSY  yeah I cant seem to find it anywhere. Has anyone got a copy of the program they can email me. I have it but my studioboss.sb6 file has corrupted and I cant recover it in filemaker for it to be recognised in studioboss. All I can do is use it in filemaker but some of the features are lost.

****.

ROGER HERBERT  Very nice piece of software that I'm seriously considering paying for.

There's one big stumbling block for me though: Microsoft Word. I don't use Office on my mac (I have a PC for such muck!).

What I would love to see is report generation in either open PDF format, or an XML feed that could be dropped into an InDesign template of my own making. That way, I can have maximum control of the layout and design of my outbound paperwork.

On a minor quibble, I'd love to see the interface use more of the native OS widgets - especially the drop-down menus, which are slightly awkward to use and slow down the process a bit. General performance in the UI on my 20" iMac G5 is just slightly slower than I'd like, so a speedup would be welcome too.

Otherwise very handy tool, well done.

ANONYMOUS  Thanks for your nice feedback. I'm always on the lookout for a word processor that has mail merge capability... Appleworks uses its own database for it, so it wouldn't work. I download AbiWord with each update hoping that its mail merge capability will be enabled. I have a copy of pages on the way, so hopefully, I can make that work. Any suggestions are welcome.

MW  I like the look of some of Dennis's products, but unfortunately cannot download them - I think he forgot to renew his .mac account!

Makes me a bit concerned about buying s/w (even at this price) that is so poorly supported...

DENNIS BEST  Hey... My .Mac subscription is just fine thank you very much. You know .Mac has been down a couple of times. :-)

DYLAN  Dennis Best has written an app for the 'rest of us' -- designers who don't give a crap about complex spreadsheets. Instead, Studio Boss is a robust app' for tracking the important aspects of a small studio. Service from Dennis is top notch, too. 40 bucks well spent, in my opinion.
