SHRALLDAM Very satisfied by this application. The original Palm Desktop software doesn't work very well on my Mac Pro (and it's not Universal, btw). I've bought the Missing Sync and I have no regrets : reliable, easy and elegant. (Version 6.0.4)

GPC The instructions about a free syncing system at that url are just the instructions for using the built-in Palm and iSync functions. I believe The Missing Sync has additional functionality such as syncing categories on the Palm with "Calendars" and "Groups" on the Mac. Without that ability, syncing would be pretty much useless for me. (Version 6.0.4)

BIGDAVE56 This app still needs serious work IMO. Failed to recognize synced calendars from previous versions. Went into conduit settings and selected the calendars I wanted. Events still don't show up in iCal. Told me user profile could not be synced because of conduits not existing and that I should edit profile. When I clicked 'OK', profile selection cleared, making it impossible to edit profile (and no information as to what needed to be edited was provided anyway.) Setup Assistant failed to recognize or rectify either of these problems. Sync was dramatically slower than v5.x under Tiger, especially considering all the information it failed to sync. Think upgrade is overpriced also, frankly. A major disappointment. This is as a longtime user of versions 4 and 5. (Version 6.0.2)

A COOK I am so VERY VERY frustrated with Missing Sync 6.0.4 I have had the same errors. In my case it is the Contacts / Notes that are not syncing. It appears that they go through BUT then if you make a change Missing Sync duplicates the contact. Even if you ask to find duplicates it does not register them as there is a slight difference. I have been in contact - well I should say I have gone to Missing Sync Tech support and left an email message but have had no response. I have also spent over 1 hr on the phone with a product specialist with Mac and they have had no luck. What has been established is that Missing Sync 5.1.2 works but has its limitations. But the upgrade to 6.0.4 is not compatible with Mac Book Pro even though Mark Space / Missing Sync say that it is. The Product Specialist says that Mark Space / Missing Sync needs to put a fix in for it and do an update. But since you can not get through to them, then I am SOL. Anyone got the fix yet?? BSEIDNER I had 15 years of Palm Desktop Windows data that I needed to move from my Treo 755p to iCal. I had been dissatisfied with the Hotsync/iSync duo and decided to try Missing Sync despite the mixed reviews. My first try was a disaster of over 9,000 conflicts needing reconciling. I ponied up the $$ for a consult from Mark/Space and a very competent and thorough support fellow took control of my MacBook remotely and fixed it right up. This program has worked flawlessly on my Tiger MacBook for a month. The included conduits and applications are more than worth the cost of the program. It syncs all video and pictures I shoot. It syncs selected iTunes. There is a great app that mounts the Treo memory card in the Finder for file transfers. The Notepad is very capable and I use it instead of ToDo. I am very very satisfied with this product. In the real world sometimes things don't work magically out of the box. This did not but it was dealing with a ton of data that had traveled across multiple platforms and operating systems. It took only a paid support call to straighten it out because I lacked the expertise. The whining about this product has me shaking my head. It has been rock solid and better than that, it has been invisible (Version 6.0.2)

DARRELLMAC Missing Sync has worked well for me over the past three years. I have consistently been able to sync my Treo 650 or Treo 680 to my Mac with very few problems, and when I had problems, they were nearly always a result of conflicts I had created with changes to the programs on my Palm or the categories into which I divided my data. Moving to Leopard created some challenges. I was one of the lucky people who found that 6.0.2, beta 2, released within days of Leopard's release, worked flawlessly for synchronizing my iCal and Address book which are my only critical daily syncs. From reading the Missing Sync Beta Forums, it was clear that many folks were not so fortunate. In such cases, where problems are not consistent, it is very difficult to know whether the problem originates with Apple OS X, other third-party applications, or Markspace, the developer of Missing Sync. Nonetheless, Markspace made betas available throughout the development process, provided forums for public comment (and comments gathered in such forums ALWAYS run to the negative, since people are far more inclined to voice problems,) and appeared to me to address the radical changes in Leopard rather quickly, given that many of the changes to the way OS X syncs were very late changes in the development of 10.5. The final version of Missing Sync for Palm 6.0.2 works very well for me. I followed Markspace's release notes' directions of backing up data and overwriting data on my Palm with data from my Mac on first sync. I post this review so other readers will see there are people who have come through the transition to Leopard and Missing Sync for Palm 6.0.2 quite satisfied. I do not intend to suggest that problems others have had are not legitimate. Missing Sync works great for me and I will continue to use it until iPhone 2 or 3 hits the market and makes its use unnecessary. (Version 6.0.2)

EYKANAL I bought missing sync for the purpose of being able to utilize Categories in the various applications (Palm Desktop didn't support this). I found that it was a fairly good program. It was able to correctly sync my contacts using address book (not some proprietary program, as Palm desktop does) and my calendar and tasks using iCal (again, not using some proprietary program). Mac does not have a default Notes program (more on that later), and unfortunately the proprietary program included is terrible. You can only view your notes but not edit them, and the resolution is very poor. I had few problems syncing my Palm Z22 with my Mac, but there were a few occasions when my palm began duplicating calendar entries each time I synced, causing there to eventually be ten of each entry. After speaking with the company I was able to find a temporary work-around, but the problem did recur. The one-star rating is due to the reaction of Mark/Space to the release of Leopard, Mac OS 10.5. Upon release, Mark/Space notified their users that the current program is incompatible, and a fix will be available in **3 months**. Their product is advertised on the apple.com website, and is THE main sync program available for mac users. Rather than purchasing a developer machine and writing the new version before the release, they apparently waited until general release to begin testing. What's more, they released this version (v. 6) just a few months ago, when it was public knowledge that Leopard was going to be released in just a few months. Such an abandonment of their user base leads me to suspect the ethos of the company, and definitely has me searching for alternatives to their product. All in all, they have a fairly decent product, but their disgraceful abandonment of the Macintosh community during 10.5 release leaves me with a very sour taste in my mouth for them. I am currently seeking an alternative sync solution. (Version 6.0.1)

TURLS Purchased Miss Sync after reading about it. It installed fine and HotSynced OK once. Next time it would not sync. Emailed support, and got response that "Oh yea, there were a lot of problems with 6.0, please download update. Installed update, now Mac will not even acknowledge a sync is being attempted. 1. I should have been notified when I purchased 6.0 that it needed to be upgraded. 2. It is ludicrous that after billing themselves as the "Best....." that it will not work as promised - even a little. 3. I have now spent 1.5 hrs trying to get THEIR software to work. It has cost me another $100 in lost time. 4. A request for information about how to get a refund was ignored. I suspect the purchase price was money down the proverbial rat hole. (Version 6.0)

E_COMMERCE I'll agree that first setting up the Missing Sync can be very difficult. For whatever reason, it doesn't seem to pull in "existing" data all that well initially, and this can lead to many problems. Mark/Space should really work on this, and backup the iCal and Address Book or Treo data beforehand at the very least. However, once it's all set up, it is nirvana. All of the data on your Treo syncs into the Mac perfectly, which then makes it accessible to every other program on your Mac - dashboard widgets, menu extras, a single unified address book, iLife. I can't overstate how much of a change this makes. (Version 6.0)

JOHNC I used Missing Sync for about a year now and once I got the initial bugs and confusing instructions ironed out, it worked great. I recently upgraded based on the claims that it supported multiple calendars better and was more stable all around. I spent way too much time getting everything to jive again. I guess it tries to involve iSync somehow and it basically ruined everything. Having experience with this sort of process, I backed up everything beforehand. I finally got it going acceptably but with slow syncs, all kinds of messages pertaining to iSync and extra calendars in iCal everytime. I finally figured out how to turn off the iSync sync. If you don't need any of the new aspects in the new version don't upgrade. There was nothing there for me; I don't have an intel proecessor and I don't use iSync or .Mac. Also, my digitizer gets out of alignment after each sync. I may try to revert back to the previous version, but I don't know if I still have a copy. The Missing Sync can be enraging to install and tweak to perfection, but once it's going, it does everything pretty well and it's the only thing I know of that does it at all. (Version 5.1.2)

SAM RAE I bought this application just recently, and had an incredibly frustrating time with it to start with. It mixed up all my iCal categories (tasks and appointments), and it put all the email addresses in my address book in triplicate. Both of these problems I had to fix manually, which took hours. I had hours of hair-pulling, and had I not backed up my iCal data at the beginning I would have had nothing left by the endat one stage everything got deleted. After this episode, however, things seem to be working ok. Category syncing with iCal is working well. If it gives me more grief with categories or email addresses, though, I think it will be back to the standard Palm software for me. (Version 5.1.2)

SANHOLO I've now been using MS for a year and I love it. It's by far better than the iCal/AddressBook/iSync combo adding many many features Apples combo simply lacks. Only problem I had is the "You haven't synced you Palm for # days" dialog eating up my CPU-time, but never had a sync-problem or other serious trouble. There are a few things that still can be improved, but it is a very competitive product as is. (Version 5.1.1)

VGOKLANI works really well with my Treo 700p - amazingly well actually. it makes sending stuff to the phone (movies, address book contacts (and groups - which iSync can't do!!!), ical, etc) very trivial! MACFUGU I purchased MS 5.1 because there was no other option for syncing my clie peg th55. Everything was fine until MS apparently decided that my network connection wasn't good enough in the middle of a sync, and now everything's crashed and I've had to hard reset, losing basically everything even with their 'superior' backup system. This would have been a great product, but with such terrible stability all the features are meaningless! I don't even know how I'm going to recover half of what I've lost. If MS is the only option for syncing for some of us out there, fine, but unstable programming warrants a much cheaper price than what their asking for. (Version 5.1)

DEMONSTRABLE I stupidly paid to upgrade from MS 4 to 5.1. What a mistake... After reading their TERRIBLY written installation instructions (and backing up my Address Book and iCal databases), I did my first sync. Disaster. My PDA (a Palm Tungsten T3) crashed before the end of the sync, but MS didn't even notice. In fact, examining the log MS thinks it did a flawless sync! Nothing could be further from the truth. My Palm was completely trashed. It couldn't even restart, as it kept crashing at the 'Palm' splash screen with the same fatal error: "DateDB.c, Line:1503, Calculation error". After trying various things I was forced to do a hard reset. This has effectively wiped my Palm clean -- even its 'sync' name has gone. It will take me some time to recover from the damage that Missing Sync has wrought on my Palm experience (time I really have not got). PDAs are supposed to aid productivity, but intall bugware like Missing Sync and you're really playing Russian roulette with your data. I would urge anyone thinking of using MS to think VERY seriously before they do. I most certainly WOULD NOT recommend paying anything for it. MS is seriously flawed, it messes with system services and puts at risk the data that you are likely to use most often. In addition, as many of the reviews posted here have pointed out (except those obviously posted by Mark/Space employees), their technical support is non-existant. The general message you get is "Tough luck." I am currently attempting to at least get a refund, as the product is clearly not fit for purpose. So what to use instead? It's unfortunate, but there's not much choice for Mac users. I 've read on other Mac-related sites that Apple will be releasing an update for iSync shortly. My advice is to stick with iSync because Mark/Space's Missing Sync botchware is just TOO UNSTABLE to risk using long term -- when things go wrong, they go wrong BIG style. (Version 5.1)

KAYEL Sounds to me like a problem with the Palm itself. I am using the same gear with no trouble at all. If the Palm crashes and doesn't respond to a hard reset, then take it back and get a new one. It should be no real problem, if you did a good backup of your palm first, which it sounds like you did. (Version 5.1.1)

FSANDSMARK I just upgraded to 5.1 (from 5.0.3) and wish I hadn't, because now I can't sync. Specifically, my calendar won't sync. I followed instructions to the letter, and the synchronization has gone on for at least an hour with no motion in the progress bar. I know Mark/Space recommends turning off Birthdays and Holidays (though I can't figure out how to do so by their instructions). I suspect that events, repeating into infinity, are why this is hanging. Still, if repeating events aren't a problem for iCal, and aren't a problem for the Palm, why should they be a problem for the program that sits between the two? I _really_ want Missing Sync to work, and I want Mark/Space to be successful. I love my Mac, love my Palm, and need both to keep my life in order. However, I've just lost a half-day to this supposed productivity enhancer (and surely there's more lost time to come), and I'm very, very unhappy. (Version 5.1)

FSANDSMARK I'm returning to my comment because I have put some more time into this issue and resolved it. I literally had to go through my calendar day by day and check each repeating event for an end date. Sync still hung, but I reset my sync history (part of iSync), reset the Palm, restarted the Mac, and now things seem OK. In 2010 I'll have to revisit all of my repeated events and change their end dates, but by then perhaps I'll be on a slicker handheld and/or the Missing Sync will have worked through this issue. Anyway, my problem is fixed and I'm no longer as livid as I was a few months ago. (Version 5.1.1)

BOSTONPH I had little or no problems with MS 5.0.3. Since moving to 5.1, my syncs time has tripled, and I've experienced corruption syncing with Documents To Go and MemoPad. Missing Sync support does respond in a few days, but their response is inevitably "works on my machine" or "not our problem." It's frustrating how poorly this product performs compared to any of the PC sync products. It's even more frustrating that there are so few alternatives on the Mac. (Version 5.1)

E_COMMERCE (It should be noted that version 5.1 is a universal binary, something that escaped mention here!) The Missing Sync version 5.1 is a huge leap forward for both this product and Mac/Palm sync in general. Speed is literally an order of magnitude improved, and previous syncing issues with the SyncServices-based 5.0 seem to be resolved. You can now sync your Palm camera's photos into iPhoto, playlists from iTunes to the Palm, mount the memory card without need for a card reader, and of course sync all of your PIM and other data. As for comments complaining about support, I am simply astonished - I have never gotten better support than I have with Mark/Space. Their mailing list is vibrant and has several of the product engineers posting daily on it. In the few cases I've needed such support, I've been contacted about problems for followup and triaging within 48 hours. Back on topic, if you have a Palm device, and Mac OS X 10.4, you need this software. It's simply outstanding! (Version 5.1)

GDBJR It seems with every update the manage to break something else. Since the release of version 5 I have been unable to get the iTunes conduit to work and their support is absolutely useless. With the 5.0.2 update they managed to break the iphoto update and I didn't even bother contacting support as I know how useless they are. Now with 5.0.3 it seems the calendar conduit no longer works. Please I beg of you, don't waste you money on this product. As soon as I have the time I am completely removing it from my system and going back to the standard palm conduit. It may not be perfect, but at least I know my calendar will be updated correctly. (Version 5.0.3)

BLEE I paid for version 4 which I found to be sub par at best. Version 5 is a huge improvment over version 4. It syncs directly with address book, ical, itunes, and iphoto. So yes it does work and I would say does most if not all the developer(s) claim. With all software there are bugs and if you subscribe to the mailing list for missing sync WHICH I would recommend anyone who purchases this product do because the developers are very active and open and they respond very quickly to suggestions and bug reports. I strongly recommend you backup all data if you try any of the beta versions and when upgrading version of missing sync. (Version 5.0.2)

-M- I had held off getting the Missing Sync in the past because I felt it didn't offer enough for the money. This has changed with the latest release and I am now a satisfied customer! The ability to properly sync my Palm and Mac is very welcome - I finally have my Palm calendar and tasks properly displayed in iCal. The other conduits work well, too. I do feel the price is a bit steep but then again it includes an app to let you use your Palm as a card reader - something I previously paid for anyway. With the version 5 release I think the Missing Sync has come of age - well worth checking out. (Version 5.0.2)

ANONYMOUS After some initial trouble which I can see was partly my own fault for not fully reading the installation/upgrade instructions in my haste to get the new features, I can confidently say that I am very happy with this upgrade. I loved MissingSync 4, but now that it syncs categories with Address Book and iCal, I am thrilled. I don't use the iTunes or Photo conduits, so I can't comment on them, but the Folder Sync seems to work great. Three cheers for the long-awaited category sync! I should also mention that the support I received from the developer, though slow at first, was excellent overall. I highly recommend this program, but caution that you should read the install instructions fully and follow the suggestions carefully to avoid trouble. (Version 5.0.2)

THEBRIX Given that the Mac Palm Desktop supplied with my T|X doesn't even work - it will not fully install on 10.4.3 despite numerous attempts - anything is better! That said, a lot of what is done with The Missing Sync is excellent; profiles per connection type almost justifies it on its own, as I use Bluetooth and USB and doing the same thing is not really feasible with the PC Palm Desktop, and the "pass-through" (displaying a card in the SD slot in Finder as a mounted drive) is something for which a couple of vendors ask good money on its own. Unfortunately, even after one bug-fix release I see a number of obvious (but not serious) bugs; for example, dragging files from Finder to the install tab doesn't display them in that tab - although they are installed - and some conduits do not show the last updated time. On the other hand, the AvantGo, iTunes and iPhoto conduits work well - although reading the manual first is recommended - and I have had no problems with third-party conduits such as QuickNews and PocketMoney. Summary? Well done overall, despite the bugs, but rather expensive and should not really have been necessary at all. (Version 5.0.1)

ANONYMOUS I purchased version 4 in August and now Mark/$pace has released version 5. They offered me version 5 for $20 (50% off) and now offer it for $25 (~40% off). What a HUGE jump in version revision so fast. It seems like they are milking money from the mac community. I expect this from M$, not a Mac Dev. (Version 5.0.1)

HANSEN NORWAY Finally I can trash the ugly Palm Desktop and the Palm PIM for Mac. Now at last Missing Sync really works and does it well. iCal syncs perfect to my PalmTreo 650. Even a feature is added to my Palm that mounts my extra Tomtom sD card on my Mac desktop. No card reader needed anymore. Both the Palm and the sD card is also being backed to my HD. Pictures is synced to a spesified folder in iPhoto. Now its easy to add new Memos to the Palm from the MamoPad app that is included. The Treo is just really paying off with the ease of use now. This is what Palm should deliver long ago. I nearly bought a PC due to bad Mac sw support from Palm. Now its all turned around. This app just solves all my wishes for the Mac-Treo relation. It shines. Nice interface. At last you did make Missing Sync work very well. I will gladly pay for this after the 2 weeks trial. This version of Missing Sync is a turning point. Before you post a comment, do try it. Is free. And you get an uninstaller free too. Then comment here. (Version 5.0.1)

DAN It's time to raise the average scores for this product. Downloaded it. Loved it. Bought it. Version 5 is amazing. Syncs iTunes playlists, syncs categories for appointments, todo's, contacts, mounts cards on the desktop, shares computer's internet connection...all this and I haven't had one problem with it. It's worked perfectly since I first tried it. An absolute must have for palm owners. (Version 5.0.1)

ANONYMOUS Is anyone else having trouble with the Contacts conduit? The categories are all screwed up and won't allow me to choose which ones to sync, though I have tried over and over. It just pays no attention to the preferences I set. I have a close friend who is having the same trouble and I have had no response from any of my e-mails to MarkSpace Support. I think this is a promising but perhaps premature release. (Version 5.0)

WHYTOI You are not the only one with problems. Various bugs associated with 5.0.x are being hotly discussed on MS's official mailing list. This buggy 5.0 release is most uncharacteristic for Mark Space and the crew there. I'd suggest that people wait a bit until all the major bugs are resolved before upgrading. I was silly enough to jump early without waiting to see those early user reports, and I am suffering... I had too much faith in MS based on my earlier experiences with them. (Version 5.0)

DB I've just upgraded to V5 and this is the most exciting program I've ever used for my Treo. The conduits for iTunes and iPhotos are simply amazing. This program has given my Treo new life. I have complete control over the content of my Treo - from selecting folders with documents, song lists and iphoto albums and calendars, events and tasks. Wow. Best upgrade I've ever paid for. I can't believe I waited so long to dump hotsync. (Version 5.0)

Failed Mark/Space Events (0x4004) Sync completed successfully at 11/3/05 12:55 PM (12:55:22) I sent a help request but haven't heard back. FRANçOIS MOTTAZ Was so pleased to see the new categories sync with my brand new Palm Tx. I had deserted the platform for a while. Problem is that I turn out to be french-speaking and MS is totally unable to deal with accented characters in the catgories names (Address Book and Calendar). They are supported both by OS X and Palm OS, but when syncing, MS wrongly encodes the names, makes them unreadable and then moves events to new categories because it does not recognizes the ones with accents. Pretty ugly to see and unusable. Other than that, iPhoto sync crashes everytime and MS cannot remember my conduit settings or profiles. I'm expecting an answer to my different emails, will post news when the matter is solved. (Version 5.0)

JOHNSON I just downloaded Missing Sync for Palm OS 4.0.6. Generally it works well with my Clie TH55 and my Powerbook G4. It syncs flawlessly with my Entourage. The only fault I see with it is the issue with Document to Go Premium Version 7. I downloaded this version and has the latest updates, YET there's still issues of Missing Sync crashing when synchronising. I've read the trouble shoot from both Mark Space and Dataviz. Followed all instructions, uninstalled and re-installed many programmes, and DTG is still cauing Missing Sync to crash when Syncing. I've given up. SAM I have found this to be an excellent product. Aptly replaces the tired Palm Hotsync. I have nothing but praise for this application. I have absolutely no problems, and it handles all my needs flawlessly: * syncing many different apps (iCal, Address Book, large PDF files, BrainForest, Life Balance, and others) * easy export of photos from iPhoto * convenient iTunes integration (doesn't work like an iPod but still quite handy) * puts movies across with ease I would recommend this to anyone. Well done. (Version 4.0.6)

WHYTOI This is such a great replacement of Palm's version that the present rating really doesn't do justice. It's fast and multi-functional in many respects, and does AvantGo. People who has problems may just have a non-compatible 3rd party device. Mark Space's tech and development support has been one of the most reponsive I have ever encountered, especially on their beta list. I'd say that people who has problems should really carefully read the manual, check the official compatibility requirement first. (Version 4.0.6)

I've been at this for the past few days. Isync DOES NOT WORK WITH Missing Sync. Plus, this is a very expensive program for a downloaded program...and since it doesn't work, it is even worse. DO NOT PURCHASE. There is no reply from the website when you have a problem. OK, once again. Errors when you connect with iSync, so on and so on and so on. The whole point is to sync the Clie with iCal and Address Book and all the other Mac Utilities. Oh well, I'm off to try and get my money back...DO NOT BUY!!!!! (Version 4.0.5)

I have been around handheld devices for over seven years, and in all that time, Hot Sync has sucked. And then came Missing Sync or Palm OS. Missing Sync allows all of these things to work effortlessly together. While not 100% perfect, due largely to the inflexibility of the Palm OS, MS is kick ass software. I was hesitant to pay the $40, especially since HotSync is free, but I am willing to pay for peace-of-mind, and that is what makes MissingSync great. Please keep up the great work and the continued development. (Version 4.0.4)

BRIAN IS "THE BEAN" I started using Nokia products because they seemed so stable. But, I don't like Symbian technology. The Nokia 6230 (one of their best phones won't sync Calendar events). Fewer and fewer Nokia phones appear to sync with any dependability, and Nokia customer service is getting worse. So, my company purchased Treo 650's because the Palm format for Contacts and Calendar events is comprehensive and easy to use. Using Missing Sync is a snap. The interface is intuitive and compliments Apple's OS X nicely. I use Bluetooth and it transferred all of my Contacts, Calendar events and Tasks from Entourage X right over to the Treo 650. You can test it for 14 days to be sure you like the product. It works and is reliable. In my opinion this makes it worth $39. (Version 4.0.4)

ANONYMOUS In general the software is fairly good. I started using it because Palm's hotsync manager crashed every time after I made any sort of change to my handheld. I now use Palm Desktop, Sticky Brain and sync it all with Missing Sync and for the most part it works fine. The Interface is clear and well laid out and the Application for mounting external cards is great, stable and fast. Only thing is it has a tendency to ignore deleted To Do and Datebook items. I've often deleted items on one or both my handheld and PIM only to find Missing Sync puts them back in....double or even triple meaning I have to keep on deleting the same old items after every sync. The only workaround I've found is to delete the Datebook backup file in Documents/Palm/Users/Backup and sync again. (Version 4.0.4)

REDBROWN Version 4.0.4 crashes a lot each time I end my mac, won't start when I click it's icon in the dock, duplicates my categories in the memopad application, closes each time I change a single conduit setting so that I need to launch it again, and won't start when I click palmwares to install so I have to launch missing sync first. But then I have to click it 5 to 10 times to do so. These and other problems that I didn't mention above were there when I was test driving this software and thought they fix them soon. I was wrong. I should have checked this website before I spent my $40. (Version 4.0.4)

GREG This is beta level software sold at a premium price. It usually takes three or four attempts just to get the software to start up (just like an early beta!). Unless you need a specific feature and you are willing to put up with much frustration, there is no reason to use this software when Palm Desktop is available. Im sure they will fix the problems eventually (did you see the number of fixes in 4.0.3 update?) but by then they will charge a hefty upgrade fee. (Version 4.0.3)

MUDFLAP I don't know why people are having so many problems with this app. I followed the installation instructions exactly, and it's worked nicely for me. If it wasn't for Missing Sync my Clie UX40 would be a really expensive paper weight. I occasionaly have a problem when I cancel a sync. I have to manually force quit the Missing Sync Monitor App (using Activity Monitor in the Mac utilities folder) but other than that, no problems whatsoever. I do wish Missing Sync would automatically deal with mp4 and Quicktime mov files by renaming them and placing them in the proper directory on my Memory Stick Pro. Installing large movies takes too long using Missing Sync, but that's not it's fault, It's slow-as-molasses USB. One solution might be to create a drag-and-drop app that would rename and copy to the correct directory any movie, mp3 or aac file dropped on its icon. I would LOVE that! And I wish it came with a conduit that would sync my mail with Clie Mail. Otherwise, I'm quite happy with my purchase and I'm looking forward to future updates adding even more funcionality. RONáN Utter frustration. I bought version 4 and it was unable to handle my HotSync ID, which has an accented characer. It created a bogus user ID instead, so nothing really syncronised. This is my only problem - I have I Ti PB 400MHz running 10.2.6, and otherwise the software works perfectly and is packed with features that Apple really should have built in to iSync. So, pleases don't just complain about your experience, offer reasons why it didn't work - you must have some idea of what hardware/software you're running that may have caused the conflict. I have had kernel panics too (from other software), where others haven't. Our individual configurations are usually to blame... So why not try to be helpful with your experience next time?
