NYCMACUSER  I am so sad. Addressix 1.4.9 will not work with Mac OS 10.6.1.

HARV  Like others, I found this to be a very nice app, getting a bit old in the tooth, but still nice.

Apparently, Snow Leopard, does not install Rosetta by default. One must choose the custom install and then proceed.

Addressix is the last app that I have that was writtren for PPC, and thus, when installing Snow Leopard, I will move forward and switch to a different address app rather than installing Rosetta just for this app.

Indeed I enjoyed the ride, but it is coming to an end...

MSWFUJOWDFFYC  A lovely application I've used and enjoyed for years. However, there have been no updates for quite some time. And their website isn't answering up. :-( A Sharp, LLC is currently residing in the "Where are they now?" file. Does anyone know anything?

XYPHER  Would like an option to add a graphic to the front of the envelope. An Airmail Label for instance.

CHRIS HABIG  I've been using the program since day 1. It's small, does it's job, and does it well. Integration with Address Book is good. Printed envelopes look outstanding.

ALLEN W. ROBY  Addressix is the easiest form addressing program I have used and it is great how they continue to improve it and correct small problems as they develop. Highly recommend it to any Mac user.

RANDOLPH  I like this app a lot, but two limitations make it unusable for me.

1.) Font defaults to Helvetica every time launched, even in saved addressses.

2.) I can print once, then Canon i560 printer will not respond unless I restart application. Then of course, I'm back to Helvetica :-(

DAVID DUNHAM  What font are you using? You might try switching to a similar font.

And if there are driver-specific problems, try Page Setup and File > Print.

ANONYMOUS  When launched in an admin account, it creates an invisible file /Library/Application Support/.Finder ASC DB with wide-open permissions. This appears to be a copy-protection measure. Any world-writable public file is a violation of the UNIX security model. If the permissions of the file are corrected, Addressix won't launch in a non-admin account

MICHAEL SIDORIC  THANKS for the update! Addressix was already the best way to address small batches of mail -- and the barcodes REALLY speed delivery. With the latest improvements -- there is no question -- Addressix is well worth the small price to register.

ANONYMOUS  Apparently it works, but it still needs some

improvements to be usable outside of US.

- Custom paper is limited to 2 items that cannot be renamed;

- Dimensions are in inches;

- Address layout does not fit other countries addresses;

- No support for vertical writing (not fully usable in Japan);

DAVID DUNHAM  You should be able to specify units other than inches... If not please let us know.

KISA  Having a printer that ejects pages the opposite of the examples shown in the Read Me, I had quite a job figuring out the correct settings, but once I finally did, the results are beautiful. Addressix remembers your settings, so I'll never have to figure them out again. This is a great app, extremely useful.

ANONYMOUS  I tried it, but much prefer InTouch by PrairieGroup. InTouch is close to perfect; it just needs to take a look at the old TouchBase program and utilize that kind of label printing, and I think it would be perfect.

ANONYMOUS  I enjoy using this program to print up my envelopes. Easy to set up and stable. Much easier than formatting envelopes in general programs. Remembers addresses which makes mailing monthly payments easy.
