ITTY  Thanks be the gods this was updated and is now fully Leopard savvy. It is a great app, having used it since the OS 8 days. (the days of Dartmouths ''Fetch''). I strongly recommend NetFinder to anyone who want smooth FTP integration into the Mac interface. The best keeps getting better.

APPLE CODER  Another user of NetFinder before the OS10 days and have used it everyday. I too have tried many ftp clients including the "popular ones" as they say, and I just find it simple and easy.

As for the comment about how long it has been that it has been updated. WHO SAYS an app has to be updated every week to be the best. I look at it as Netfinder was coded right the first time.

Netfinder may not have some features, but I bought it years ago and it has worked for me, and I tell all my new web designers to get it.

- peace

NUMINX  I have used a lot of file management systems over the years but still find NetFinder the most stable, powerful and fastest app out there. It's obvious time has been spent on this version to make sure that the build continues to out performs it's competitors.

It supports all of the servers/protocols I need and then some. The filterable self contained reports are extremely useful & easy to use. There are also a lot of other extremely handy features for NetFinder users such as labeling, comments, the ability to preview Movies, MP3 & Shockwave files as well as the integration with Apple Automator, Keychain & BBEdit.

It may have been a white between builds, but it was well worth the wait.

Don't waste you time looking at the other apps like I did.

NetFinder is by far the best file management system out there and well worth the price.

HOBY  NetFinder has always been my workhorse for FTP, the only one I bought back in the pre-OS 10 days.

I'm happy this new version is out - compatible more servers, protocols, and current Macs. It has some nice new features & menu changes. It's been a long wait from 2 to 3 but it's a good update.

SOOTHE  Considering that the last update to NF was 5 YEARS AGO and the update before that was SIX years ago, you have question the commitment of the developer to his customers...

Quite simply, even if NF 3 was the best FTP client on the planet (and it isn't), I wouldn't be investing my money in it now.

There are plenty of well supported products to consider. The crowd favorites are Transmit and CyberDuck, and of course there are the products that have stood the test of time - Fetch and Interarchy.

DOWN10  NetFinder actually beats out Tranmit in terms of a true Mac-like interface for a Mac FTP client, but it falls short of true excellence from complex preference panes and the occasional crash. Also, at $10 more than Transmit, the price could be a bit more competitive.

Unfortunately, I've been more and more reliant on the built-in FTP features of Mac OS X, which do not cost extra.

PHOTO TIM  NetFinder is IMHO still the best FTP app for the Mac. I have tried Transit, Cute FTP Mac, and a couple others who's name excapes me, and I always return to NetFinder. I'm not sure what crack "MacUser" is smoking, but he needs to find a better dealer. I have used NetFinder X since moving to X with 10.1.5 and it has always been robust full featured and very stable.

MACUSER  Wow, this software worked great on my OS9 machine and I still use it on it today.. but on OSX 10.1.5 this new version is horrible. Its slow, buggy and all around trash. I really hate it to because I love the application and how it works just like a mac layout etc.. but it seriously needs some OSX work. I'm forced to look for something else on OSX.

Come On NETFINDER .. FIX THIS!
