RUSSELL GLEASON  FOLLOW-UP - I finally recieved my registration numbers by email. In this day and age where electronic communication and transactions are instantaneous, having to wait as long as I had to for the email registration numbers was (I felt) unreasonable - especially in light of the fact I still have no email address for contact with the developer [this also was NOT included with the registration information]. If I had, had his email address, I certainly would have posted it here.

What about the program itself? Works great! Very simple, easy to use, and does exactly as advertised! I'm exceedingly happy with it. I'm using this program to run my 12 button programable Logitech Extreme 3D Pro Joystick [supposedly made for the PC "only", but made totally functionable for the Mac with GamePad Campion v2.4 on OS-10.4.9 on a 2002 G4 Digital Audio Mac].

I can highly recommend this program for all PPC Mac users. I can also highly recommend the developer make publicity known his email address for customer support !!!

RUSSELL GLEASON  RIP-OFF - Unless you have an Apple Account in order to access their email address for support your SOL. I purchased this program today (May 4 2007) and NEVER (I repeat - NEVER) recieved an email from them with a registration number. And since I don't have an account with "Apple", I can't get access to their email address for support. Their demo works great, but if you like to throw your money away, just purchase this product. Or better yet, send me your money!

SPRINGHEELMAC  I can't seem to get my XBOX controller to work with MacMAME or MAME OS X. Is it compatible? Also, NANNASSY, I couldn't find a 360 driver here, but there is one at Versiontracker.com. (Too bad I don't have a 360 controller!)

LEWIS YU  I bought the Gamepad Companion for my Logitech MX900 BT Mouse. It's up to its' task and allow me to configure all the buttons.

However, I found that I need to "Stop/Start" it every time the systam awakes from sleep in order to resume its' function. Which indeed is very annoying! Hope the developer could solve this issue.

GRAMAGE  Getting the same preflight thingy error here too. I just bought a Playstation-to-USB controller adapter that is for Windows only. My mac recognises it though and I think this might just do the trick. If only I could install it.

I have programmed the fwd and back buttons, the scroll button switches to next app and 6/8 show all windows in selected app, or expose all windows.

ANONYMOUS  I have to say, I am definitely impressed. This program not only found my PS2 adapter perfectly, and had everthing mapped, but it actually WORKED. In fact, I only have one minor gripe: When using my analog stick as a mouse axis, i have to repeatedly tap it.... I may just have it set up wrong. Also, feature request: maybe make it work more seamlessly with Expose? (I had to set Expose to F5/F6, check Use F keys as function keys, map them, then uncheck F keys.... 3 different prefpanes all in all)

But this is gonna be fun. :-D Cool app.

Contrary to what some have said it's very intuitive (to me) and easy to use.

allow Panther to use all 8 buttons of the Logitech mx900 bluetooth mouse in all application, while Expose already did w/o G.C.X 2.2!

UMAROMC  I found this fairly un-intuitive, (not necessarily buggy) and, despite purchasing a license, have removed it entirely and have learned to play games without having to rely on GamePad Companion at all.

I would like to warn everybody that (at least in my experience) GamePad Companion (ver 2.1) does not work under the new OS (10.3 Panther) just released by Apple. If you have had any different experience (again, under Panther), please let us know.

DAVE  If your looking for a game controller for an iShock with Tomb Raider Chronicles this is definately NOT it. Gamepad falls way short of controlling an iShock by far and definately is NOT ready for OS 10.2.2 since it has been the first application that has locked up OS X. This really needs o be freeware since it is not ready for primetime.

RALPH MIRANDA  X/Y-axis control is very quirky. I attempted assigning the arrow keys to the respective X/Y-axis pad on my Gravis GamePad Pro USB for use with the AWESOME SpaceTripper (http://www.pompom.org.uk/- Mac Update SHOULD list this game!!! Why it doesn't come up via MacUpdate, VersionTracker nor MacGameFiles.com is beyond me!) and the axis values kept "flipping" every time I launched the game! If X-axis worked, they Y was reverse... or vice versa... the rest of the buttons worked fine. Very odd... I figured assigning keyboard values is pretty straight forward... :p

After you press "start" a rumbling noise comes from your speakers. Doesn't crash, but doesn't work either. Would not allow me to play Deimos Rising with a Saitek Cyborg 3D or Saitek P750

JP  Bought this, then upgraded to Jaguar a week later, now it no longer works. Great product while it lasted, but now I feel a bit ripped off. If you own Jaguar don't buy this unless you know it'll work in 10.2. Waiting or a patch...

AGGRAVATED GAMER  I've used a previous demo version and it worked flawlessly with my psx to usb link-up, however I refuse to pay $15 for something that should obviously be a native feature of OS X. The developer is, as far as I'm concerned, taking advantage of all of us and quite frankly being a ass in the process. Also, I cannot tell him/her this personally because there is absolutly NO contact information on the website. And I would have to wait 2-3 DAYS for my program to be EMAILED to me?? Oh please. ridiculous.
