APPLECRYPT MODS  it's isn't Macplay's fault, though there customer skills do need improving! Checkout forum threads over at IMG

There's better online mp games now anyhow, but if you see this game going cheap and want some superb sp-fun then buy it. AvP2 is still a great sp-game, esp when modded too :)

I love this game, but i'll stick to Last Man Standing on Doom3 and Desert Combat on BF1942 for my mp games.. live with it! ;p

DAVE  MacPly doesn't give a crap about how badly it runs. I asked for my money back and they kept saying multiplayer would be fixed in Tiger. Well this was just a lie. All they had to do was disable the updater to run multiplayer. Just consider that . I'm never buying another MacPlay game again. Crooks.

ANONYMOUS  I agree with this fellow. I mean why do they offer Multiplayer, first off you can't access it, and there don't seem to be many mac multiplayer patches. Hey Sierra, don't false advertise!

ANONYMOUS  Don't buy it unless your ultra bored with everything else and I mean everything else! Try a free and relatively bug free game like Americas Army, free on the army website.

This game lags my Dual G5 2.0Ghz! and I can't even finish the third human level do to it crashing everytime I get to this certain part!

AHhhhhhhh

ASSASSINOFGATES  This game is a processor hog. Even with 2 867 G4s and a GeFroce 4 Ti 4600 (128), it runs like crap whenever some alien spawns or something happens that requires the CPUs attention. (Tis a pity that there are no processor upgrades for the MDDs yet). You think that MacPlay could have made it support SMP, after taking such a long 5time to port it in the first place.

Don't buy this title for the multiplayer. The gameplay (not Frame rates) is hella slow compared to the original, and its much harder to find a weapon that doesnt suck before some other player kills you. Not that this is MacPlay's fault, cuz it's not.

Bottom line: If you have the CPU and video to handle this game, its a great Single Player with excellent suprises. Otherwise, you're screwed $50.

ANONYMOUS  Biggest heap of shit game. Had way over the minimum system requirements and the game was still shit, in the end I had to pay a $20 dollar repackaging bill before they told me it was a fault in the cd...

SHAITAN  Great gameplay if only it didn't bog down so often. I have the recommended system -- not the minimum -- and it still gets unbearably slow in some scenes.

PAIN N PANIC  Why are gaming manufacturers insisting on making games massively processor intensive!! The original Aliens V pred game was fast and furious game-play, this has been sacrificed by, ooo look how cool the graphics now look!

Having said that, it plays brilliantly on my Mac and I love the game!!!

ANONYMOUS  I have AVP2 for mac. My current version is 1.0.9.6 v33. I just upgraded to Mac os 10.3 Panther. The pros with Panther are smoother frame rates,(especially with the marine shoulder lamp.) even with my eMac 1.0GZ Radeon 7500 32MB. Probably because of the new Quartz Extreme or updated drivers. But drop frames are still apparent. The cons are you can't connect to the multiplayer inernet because the protocols are different than they were in 10.2.6 and 10.2.8. I hope they come out with a new patch soon!

ANONYMOUS  AvP has given me repeated crashes on my G4. Every time I start to get somewhere I crash. Can't even play the game. Waste of money.

ANONYMOUS  Updater doesn't appear to work. StuffIt Expander reports an error trying to expand it, and what's left causes a crash.
