FAYZE  if you have problems running Rosetta apps, try Rosetta Translate Fix and Carbon Lib Fix. as always back up the original files just in case:

sudo cp /usr/libexec/oah/translate /usr/libexec/oah/translate.orig

for the Translate fix and:

sudp cp -r /System/Library/CFMSupport /System/Library/CFMSupport.orig

for the Carbon Lib fix. those pkgs helped get this app working for me.

DP-G4-450GUY  Fortunately, under Leopard and the forthcoming Snow Leopard, the developer has no need whatsoever to release an "Intel version," as this program is so well-written it runs like lightning in 10.5+ 'Rosetta' environment - completely transparently.

Very useful and well-made software.

APPLE2GS  A fantastic tool, unfortunately the developer refuses to release an Intel version- so I cannot use it any more on my MacPro.

QUIIICK  Would you (the developer) please provide us a downloadable file in .dmg or .zip-format and not this stupid proprietary .sit-stuff. Thanks!

And how about a less cryptic name for your shareware? ...

ANONYMOUS  Seems you have to purchase to get batch rename by folder structure support. With how flaky all the batch functions are across apps like these I want to be able to try it first.

ANONYMOUS  Either one of those need to be fixed:

1. $18.

2. no .mp4 support.

How many years has the .m4a file format been out? If that thing was free, I wouldn't complain. But $18 for obsolete software is just a little...

WILBUR GOLTERMANN  I find id3xc a GREAT product if you're in need of changing tags on mp3 files.

It has a good deal of built in functions pre-programmed and most of your needs will probably be satisfied by using these functions.

If you are inclined toward programming, the built-in id3-editing programming language allows complete flexibility over how id3 tags of a group of mp3 files can be changed - if you can imagine it, you can probably do it.

My wish list for future versions of id3x includes a couple of items: First, I'd like id3x to have some recursive functionality - eg carry out the task on all files in subdirectories of an entire tree as opposed to just a single folder. Second, I'm finding that I'm making a major commitment to the new AAC encoding and I would like to be able to edit m4a tags as well.

ANONYMOUS  All is well and good with this app except for that one feature - it STILL doesn't recongnize MP4 (M4a) files??!!

What year does this developer live in and what the point of CHARGING for something that's STILL outdated?

I'll just still use iTunes for tagging - and it's FREEEE!!!

LEX LUTHOR  It's very taxing that some shareware developers charge tax

while most don't.

At $15 D3X is moderately expensive, but still a very useful

little app but it's not $15, it's $18 plus some 'taxes' which make

it $21.

Please give us the full price upfront rather than sucker

potential users with false promises on price, or better still

make your companies business needs seamless with a straightforward upfront pricing structure.

øMEGA-MAN  Much more powerfull then Itunes. Excelent for mass renaming and taggin'

My type of App… if it wasn't for stability i would give it 5/5

Stability should be improved, it crashes a lot.

ANONYMOUS  It's different from iTunes in that it allows for more complex renaming and tagging options. With ID3X you can automatically rename files based on existing tags, or tag files based on filenames.
