GERMANO60  With Mac OS X, you can create text with background image with any word processing application you like, then all you have to do is "Print" ->PDF file.

Embedded, free, fully working. Sincerely, I don't see any reason why to pay for something that my operating system already does by itself with the most flexibility.

JIMW  Perhaps, But I can add it to my printed PDF file with PDFpen from Smile Smile software for $30 when I need such a feature. Additionally PDFpen allows me to edit PDF files.

JIMW  All that is said is true, but the "Print" command can also be scripted to print to a PDF file, can it not?

ANONYMOUS  Gee, charging for for something that is basically built in for free into OSX. Well what would you expect from a Perl developer.

SANFACE SOFTWARE  Pay attention: txt2pdf is a server batch tool. You can put it inside your scripts, inside a web application, after every other tool that create a textual report.

ANONYMOUS  $105 this is ridiculous. Print2PDF in OS 9. OS X can write PDF. Indesign or Illustrator too. PDF Shrink is pretty good. Acrobat is the best.

ANONYMOUS  Works great, and without a hitch across 3 different Unix platforms. Worth the price if you need such a tool.
