AZRAEL It is sad that such a great product has a lack of proper development. This product hasn't seen a good version since the original developer ceased on it. Maybe it would be wise for the current maintainer to pass on the project. To a group that would actively develop for it.

DRSPA44 When will we see an actual application release of playerpro 5.10? 5.9.8 although runs well on classic, is getting less and less stable on tiger and on leopard with intel. I can't stand to play mods without the pattern view or box editor! Will it still be free or will it become shareware again?

MPROUD OS X 10.4.4 seems to break compatibility with PlayerPro. I get an error regarding the sound driver when booting up the program. Does this happen for anyone else?

STEVE i was very excited to see people are still keeping playerpro alive, i spent 5 formative years producing music with that tracker. i found i can't edit note values or volume..? is that a known bug, or not, or have i simply completely forgotten how to use a tracker? | |

PlayerPRO has been resurrected on http://sourceforge.net/projects/playerpro versions of PlayerPRO up to 5.9.9.x are coming down the pipes and will principally adding bug fixes. UNCLEVISEN Just an advisory for those with G3's - Renoise requires a lot of raw CPU power and doesn't run well on older machines. You'll be comfortable with any speed G4. On my G3/500 it plays the samples songs but is very sluggish. Excellent app, really - just slow!!!

AMON-RE Unfortunately, PlayerPRO 5.9.8 can no longer be downloaded from the official site--it's shut down. POLARISX It's so sad to see such a great piece of software gone. Quadmation says it's dead (read this: http://quadmation.com/pphome.htm) and since it's open-source, he's not going to be working on it anymore. It'd be nice if he got to 5.9.9 though. I was excited about version 6, but it's dead. RIP PlayerPRO! The download is a .SEA IIRC, but Classic opens it fine.

L66 It works great here with Panther, but you have to move the "hard" volume control in the "mixer" window to the right. It is off by default under panther. It is really sad that this great piece of software is dead now...

ANONYMOUS This is a full composer/editor/player that does midi, mp3s, QT audio, and mods. About the only thing it doesn't do is stream content. Excellent editing tools and playback controls. By far, best player for mod music (e.g. http://www.modarchive.com). Works as a conversion utility as well.
