ANONYMOUS This program is overall well worth the money. I seldom purchase shareware, because it is often hard to justify the price. However, Melody Assistant immediately struck me as a bargain, and I felt compelled to register. I was shopping for music notation software. I first researched the brand-name commercial programs. These all cost upwards of $150, some going into the $400 or $500 range. This was well beyond the scope of my budget. I then discovered Melody Assistant. It has a very competitive feature set, and the price is several orders of magnitude more competitive than any comparable product. The interface is somewhat eccentric, and takes getting used to. However, it is not a POOR interface. Beyond the learning curve, it is quite well designed. I experienced no stability problems. My only qualm is that the printed output is not up to the standards of commerial software. It is adaquate, but do not expect your scores to look like proffesionally engraved music. (Version 6.0) |
