Apple seems to have changed Safari 4 so that the changes are no longer set via Prefs but are build-in. Nothing I can do about that until someone figures out a way to modify Safari 4.

Safari 4 Modofoer can already do that. You just need to make sure that both "Toolbar redesign" and "Use New Load Progress Style" are disabled as the toolbar redesign will automatically enable the new progress indicator.

TITANIC  Okay. I tried another similar app to add some changes to Safari 4 Beta, but it doesn't work and doesn't suit my need.

You know, I want a good plugin that can bring back the Safari 3's "BLUE BAR LOADER INDICATOR."

The Safari 4 Beta is just using the "spinning" circle at the right side. Very trouble some, especially if the internet around you is just DARN SLOW.

So the developer. Can you please bring that feature back? I might pay this app if it can. Thanks.

HOTSCIENTIST  I had trouble downloading the app at home and contacted the developer about it - 30 min later he had send it to me by email. Good interface, fully featured, excellent support, and free - what more could I want?

MARKUS WINTER  Of course clear history also clears the searches. But what if you only want to clear the searches and keep the history?

MARKM68K  The "Clear History" menu does in fact clear the Google search bar. Try it. Why reinvent the wheel?

MARKUS WINTER  "Clear Recent Searches" is NOT the same as selecting "Clear History" from the "History" menu of Safari. The searches are what you search for in the google bar, the history are also the web sites you visited.

MARKM68K  Two of these nine features can be trivially configured directly in Safari.

- "Clear Recent Searches" is the same as selecting "Clear History" from the "History" menu of Safari.

- "Show Bug Reports Toolbar Item" is the same as selecting "Customize Toolbar" from the "View" menu of Safari.

MARKUS WINTER  Basically they do very similar things but S4M is available in English and German, changes 9 settings compared to Buddy's 7, clears recent searches, sticks to user interface guide lines (uses check boxes instead of radio buttons), warns on start up if Safari is running, etc etc

Safari 4 Buddy is good - but Safari 4 Modifier is better ;-)

But I might be biased

P.S. Why are you posting this on all download sites? If you want to advertise for Safari 4 Buddy then this is a rather underhanded way of doing so.
