PETEHAMMER  Have you played "Build-A-Lot"? Well, guess what, you've played "Be a King." This game is obviously built on the Build-A-Lot engine, with select tiles on which you can place various types of houses. Unfortunately, the game lasts all of a couple hours (tops). In fact, in the hour you're allowed to play for free, you'd get much further into it if the tutorials didn't intentionally slow you down.

The idea isn't bad: a lightweight combo RTS/Build-A-Lot game. The implementation isn't great: the game is very, very short and far less complex than Build-A-Lot (though no annoying race against the clock play). There are maybe 7 structures total for the game, and three upgrades for each. Once you "unlock" certain buildings, however, you'll never use the prior building types.

Buying Starcraft or Warcraft used (or even new) will give you hours upon hours more play than this game.

Stability: I had a couple bugs, such as knights who were stuck on the map and numerous spelling/grammar errors.

Graphics: Sufficient for this type of game.

Value: Horrible. This game would be worth it at $5. But at $15 you can get a real RTS that offers the same simple graphics but gives you multi-day gameplay.

Unless the price is lowered, stay away.
