VAGABUNDO  Whenever I see and update to Timer Utility, I'm like... what new features could the developer possibly add to an already useful, elegant application while still keeping it simple? Well, there you have it. He manages to do just that. Thank you developer! This is a great little app to have.

One thing I noticed on this update is that when time is complete, the "Dismiss" option appears to have been removed? I would really like to see it back.

JUAN ROA  Thank you for your feedback. It is exciting to see positive comments from users.

Regarding the "Dismiss" button, when an alarm or timer completes, the sheet that dropped down has been removed due to it being an obstruction to linked alarms/timers or alarms/timers that are running. In its place, there are alternative ways of seeing which alarm/timer completed.

VAGABUNDO  You are totally right. Don't need it anymore. I can just press the space bar and it will "dismiss" it. Wonderful! Great job!

W100D001  This utility is a must have. I would have expected something like this to already be included with OS X. Thank you developer. I use this at home for baking (among other things)... as well as at the office for reminders. Love it.

PROKOS_J  I have been looking for a replacement for iuTime by iUni. So far there is nothingÂ… I wish this developer would incorporate iuTimes features, then it would be a no-brainer.

SQUIDLOR  This is a great little timer!

Hands down, the best of all the ones I've tried (Time Boxed, ClockWork, Alarm Clock Pro, and others I no longer recall). Events are easy to set up. The usual events are here: Stop watches for elapsed time, Countdown Timers, and alarms for specific times.

Best of all for me, you can have a list of commonly used events: Laundry, cooking a Pizza, etc... No need to set the same alarm time and again, just create it once, and then just select it from the list next time.

NEAL KERR  This is a great timer utility! I love the ability to chain timers together, which is the exact functionality I've been looking for, and I have a feature request-- the ability to add additional timers (12 seems arbitrary, why not twenty) I need more! And an issue-- You should get rid of the sheet that announces the timer has expired, Unless you manually dismiss it, the timer window does not update. Also, you cant tell (with a series of timers chained together) which timer is currently running. You need to have the selected item in the list of timers change as the timer moves from one to the next. Other than that...Great work!

TINGTING  This application is great. I've been using it all the time the last few days for a bunch of things. It's easy and intuitive to use. It has wonderful options whence the alarm completes. I really like the different alarm sound options; They sound cool and really grab my attention when I'm away from my MacBook. I'd like to be able to switch the colors on the full screen so it isn't so bright, i.e. white numbers and black screen. It's a nice app. Thank you.

TINGTING  Other feature requests:

- ability to run regular Applescripts on alarm end.

- Maybe make the ["Alarm Clocks"|"Countdown Timers"|"Stopwatch"] bar about 4-12 pixels taller.

HAPPYMARTIN  Wow, I'm extremely impressed that you're still updating this application.

Just upgraded from 3.2 to 3.3. and it's great to see you being so proactive with your customers feedback.

I think this is a perfect utility for time management and can only think of a couple of things I'd like to add ...

1) I hate clutter my dock, could we have the option to have TU sit in my menubar instead?

2) I'd be nice to have a timer start when another finishes. After my 30 mins of work I take a 5 minute break so it'd be good if i could loop the two timers in a 'playlist'.

Apart from these suggestions TU is by far the most practical application available. Keep up the great work.

MISHA  Great app... I use Alarm Clock Pro (which isn't free) and Timer Utility does a lot of what that does AND adds Countdown Timers (which ACP lacks). Great UI, too. Thanks!

TALLIS  Excellent

I've tested and used more than a handfull of timers, some of them too basic (Timer HB) some of them too feature-laden (Apimac timer) and convoluted (iClock) and some of the just don't feel right (Timer) - I had settled with "Pester" whose user interface and quick way of doing what I want it to do seemed to work best for me.

What I like about Timer Utility is that you can loop the alarm sound until you have manually dissmissed it and that you can set different coundowns (and of course alarms) at the same time, triggering different actions / Alarms sounds e.g.

But ease of use and the price are taking the cake here.

Here's a suggestion: how about having the dock icon display the remaining countdown time?

JQK18  I used to be a slave to the screen. But this program helped me to change my evil ways. I set it to count down for 30 minutes, then to speak "Time's Up" and open a text file that says "OK, time to take a break." And I get up and walk around for a little while. It helps me clear my mind and gather my thoughts.

If you're more hard-core, you can also set the program to log out, restart, shut down, or sleep the computer.

TOMQ  Nice timer---but---give an option to NOT have TU stop shutdowns and restarts when TU is running or paused. Very irritating!!! First timer I have ever used that does this. Don't! Make this an OPTION.

GCOGHILL  Great timer! Looks good and great functionality.

The "Alarmclock" tab should read "Alarm Clock"

It would be nice to be able to set a custom message for the alarms & maybe make the dialog sheet larger, and use a larger font size for the message.

Also, a button on the window to switch from mini size to full size window would be nice.

Even as-is though, excellent!

BRENTB  Because the ratings were reset with this new release, I'm re-posting my five-star rating. This app does everything I want in a timer, and more. I still think there are other free options that are good. This one is great.

BRENTB  It was only a couple of days ago that I reviewed this app, giving it five stars for how it did everything I needed it to do, and all for the extravagant price of $0. I mentioned that the only thing useful to me that it didn't do was that it didn't offer an option to have a ticking sound, so that I could hear the seconds tick by as I did my physical therapy exercises for my low back. If I heard the ticking, I wouldn't have to be actually looking at the timer to see the time I had left (or that had elapsed). But I said that such an option was admittedly minor, and might not be of value to others. It didn't detract from my five-star rating.

Well guess what shows up in the very next release--a ticking option. That kind of remarkably fast responsiveness to user requests (even small ones!) is rare. I'll be making a donation later today.

BRENTB  I agree. This is easily the best app of its kind. Does almost* everything timer-related that I need. It's easy to use, and the looks are simple and clean. And it's FREE--amazing.

*The only option that I would like added is admittedly very minor: the option to turn on a ticking sound that's separate from the alarm. It would be very useful to me when I do my exercises and stretches; there are many times that it would be helpful to hear a "tick... tick... tick..." so I can count off how many seconds have gone by without having to look at the timer.

NICKSLOAN  This is a very-well designed and flexible timer, which does a lot of useful things with the minimum of fuss. The developer is also extremely responsive. There are quite a few alternative timers out there (Minuteur is another favourite) but this scores very high for its clean intuitive interface, and the best implementation of a digital stopwatch I have seen.

Thank you.
