ANONYMOUS  I previously tested AutoCat in Panther and liked what I saw. After recently upgrading to Tiger (10.4.2), when copying a catalogue to a disk image or any other place with the Finder I would get the following error.

“The alias “blablabla.bom” cannot be copied to the destination, perhaps because the destination does not support this type of alias.”

I am pretty sure this did not happen in Panther.

This seems to happen to items in packages — it also happened with files inside “.app” files.

As a test I zipped the catalogue first than copied it another location but when unzipping i got an error too.

Something has changed using it with Tiger? This is a bummer as I liked the idea of using Spotlight rather than a dedicated program.

RENATO  Abbinato all'indicizzazione di Spotlight è superefficiente, semplice e per niente invasivo.

Lo consiglio a tutti.

DUFFCAT  I have tried every catalog software on this site and this is the most robust. Very simple and straight foreward and independent of OSX version number. Love it!
