THOMAS STROMBERG  Works fantastically under Snow Leopard. So many applications are already using the brushed metal look that it is actually hard to see any difference most of the time.

BILLGRANT  I think this guy works for Microsoft!

Closest thing I have ever seen to a mac virus.

DO NOT INSTALL!!!!

You will be asking for major trouble.

Macupdate should bar this developer for ever on this site.

BUSHWHACK  What are you talking about?

Try providing details about why you think this, instead of just making blind accusations....

BUSHWHACK  Been using this the past few days.... and have had NO ISSUES what so ever... and I do not even know who the developer is so I'm not defending him.

MAC MAIL  Installing this software is just like asking for trouble. This will screw up the core.

Take your chances.

BUSHWHACK  I would beg to differ... I was hesitant at first when I first installed it as well, considering the hack softwares that messed up installations to Leopard from Tiger as well...

But I have been using an modded scrollbars file that is an iTunes mod to remove the hideous and seriously outdated Aqua scrollbars.

It makes the OS look so much cleaner. I have not had issues with that even through an upgrade from Leopard to SL.

This is a welcome mod as well. Not only does it mod the outdated UI's scrollbars to something a little bit unified with the rest of the OS, but it gets rid of the Aqua drop down menu items and buttons and really helps update the look of Mac to something a little bit modern day and not late 90's.

This version offers an uninstall so if you don't like it you can take it out. Also as always you should back up your data before installing beta software or any software and I have an active backup of Time Machine.

So far, this software has run flawlessly for me and really has made me like the more modern & sophisticated UI it gives the Mac OS.

BUSHWHACK  Excellent mod!!

I backed up my system files just in case, though this beta provides an uninstall option to revert it back to your original files.

I had to install and uninstall several times to get it to work for some time and get the buttons to convert, but once they did, the theme itself is beautiful!

BUSHWHACK  I am guessing that the graphite appearance is not supported yet with the iLeopard buttons, because I tried to install them and only got the aqua effect in the buttons instead.

Using the default glossy graphite buttons and installing the default style at the top of the toolbar get the buttons and menus to display the iTunes style.

RADIORHAEEM  The new beta is working fine on my macbook running 10.6.1. I used the iTunes 9 style toolbars option then logged out and back in. Haven't seen any weird behavior yet.

Great to see this being updated again! Thanks!

HELMO HASS  Frankly just installed for the first time on my G5

and this totally f****up my sytem...

All original osx interface icons are gone.. no way to open any application anymore since they all crashes,

no way to do the basic things to have at least the possiblity to uninstall... BTW no way to understand HOW to revert this nasty thingy

My only solution was at the end, since i always have a Twin system running on another Disk, was to totally replace the coreservices to get my old system back to normality...

Dunno what happened yet and frankly dont want to investigate further, imho my suggestion is STAY AWAY from this...

ROBERTCOOGAN2  I liked this theme, and the ease of installation. Very nice!

Though to mention ShapeShifter is ironic...since Unsanity hasn't updated that app (like so many of it's "haxies") in AGES....iLeopard is one more positive step towards breaking the haxie habit!

MAULRAT  This should be the default theme ... period. I was "awakened" as to how much I like this theme when I installed 10.6 and it reverted back to the system's default theme, yuck (sorry to use overly technical words here) ... was glad to find the alpha versions shortly afterwards ... glad to see its in beta now.

Any ETA on the update?

LAINE  In all honesty, you'd have to release a pretty bad free theme for me to give you less than five stars, but this is great anyway. Can you make the vertical segment tabs look as pretty as the horizontal ones? (Download the QuicKeys demo and program a couple of horizontal and vertical toolbars to see what I mean.) Thanks for iLeopard!

HEAVY_SHOWER  The menu highlighting for Butler's items don't conform to iLeopard's settings. In iLeopard's Aqua, the menu highlight should be grey-blue instead of bright blue. And in Graphite the highlight is slightly lighter. Otherwise, everything else is just wonderful.

CUNEYT  Its a pity that it doesnt work/support Tiger (10.4.x) other wise I would have downloaded it. I hope the developer can make a Tiger version as well.

LEPPE  I love this UI replacement.

I've tried many before this one and for me this is the best one.

It's very clean and nicely done.

Try it for yourself and if you don't like it, just uninstall it.

It's that easy...

Very easy to install.

The ReadMe is good written.

It's free!

There is an Uninstaller.

You don't have to repair the disk permissions (like with many other UI replacements) after you installed this UI replacement.

Just use the Easy install if you are new or scared to use the Custom install.

Well done!

LATRENT  I am surprised to see this here. Version 2.1.2 was released back in September. There's no mention on the web site (www.ileopard2.co.cc) about a new release.

The "headlight" buttons pictured in the screenshot are Aqua style, not iLeopard.

And what does App QuitTimer have to do with any of this?

Something seems hinky here.

LEPPE  Maybe this is the same version with the full documentation and some bugs fixed?

http://www.ileopard2.co.cc/page3/files/category-developpment.html

Or maybe the site needs an update? (like many other developers from small apps I know of)

About App QuitTime, I also can't see what this has to do with with iLeopard 2.1.2.

It's gone after I pressed the :-( button, so maybe somebody recommended this?

Regards,

Leppe

CHRISWAN  There's an option to choose between iLeopard Opaque traffic light buttons and Original Leopard's (like the screenshot)

So there's nothing wrong with the screenshot

CHRISWAN  I'm surprised that this app appeared on MU today

The developement of this app had been postponed for months, since the developer had lost the source files

nevertheless, this is a fantastic UI replacement for people who would like to banish aqua elements from Leopard
