ZEB B  SlidePad is not flexible. Its notes take over half the height of the screen, and this can be adjusted only minimally. I find it very obtrusive. When the developer addresses this problem, I'll consider SlidePad again.

BLULOO  I purchased this as a sidenote replacement for Leopard. I paid $9.99 via MacZot.

I initially found it somewhat lacking but the developer quickly replied to my comments. A feature suggestion I made (changing the window height) even made it into this release.

IMO, it's priced too high for what it does and that will keep it out of the hands of most users.

Seems like a responsive, responsible developer, FWIW.

IMO, $9.99 - $12.99 is about what a basic notepad is worth, even one that slides out from the screen.

YMMV

MACYOUZER  For twenty-bucks you'd think the thing wouldn't be so adamant about always opening in the middle of my screen. Not sure this app is worth an entire dock icon either. Not many features, in fact not much to it at all. As this point I wouldn't even use this if it were freeware.

ZO219  I'm not being mean, really I'm not. I used this, and it's modest, and $20 is too much.

SAMPLER  I am a happy and addicted user of Sidenote in Tiger. However some Leopard users have reported on the Sidenote web site that Sidenote has problems with Spaces. Therefore I suggest that Leopard users take a look at SlidePad as well.

JUERGEN MEIER  Very handy note pad to have at the touch of a button (option-space).

Got it to behave well in Spaces by assigning it to every space under System Preferences -> Expose and Spaces.

Cool icon btw!

ROBBY.IS.ON  The app seems a bit overpriced to me.

I'm sorry I can't test it as I'm on Tiger but it looks like only its aesthetics are superior compared to Sidenote (if anything all!) – which is free.

While not saying this software should be free I reckon a price in the range of 5 to 10 dollars would be more appropriate.
