We have sent you a set of questions to understand and regenerate the issue. Please note, at this time Voila is not fully compatible with Snow Leopard. We have updated this information on our blog as well: We are testing Voila by upgrading the OS from Leopard to Snow Leopard. It is important to understand the issues/defects sent by our customers in order to regenerate them and thus provide a fix. Sometimes even the developers gets clueless about these issues, simply because it does not occur on their system: - Because they don't get to see the issue in the same environment as it appears on the troubled system or - Maybe due to lack of steps/ technical information available to regenerate the issue We always guide our customers to provide detailed description wherever required and we understand it is important for us to fix the issues. We are looking into all the user requests, feedback, comments and suggestions shared via direct channels such as: product support email, blog and forum on our site. We also make reasonable efforts to collect feedback provided on other sites, blogs and forums as much as possible, like the one you are seeing here. We have been implementing features requested by Voila users and provide them in the form of new releases. Thank you for your continuous support and we are working hard to improve this tool.

FRIK I am a customer of Voila, but hates the app more every day. Voila support team is very responsive, but their support is totally useless. For example, I email them about an issue where the screen shots are impacted by their application adding a shadow to the screen. To do this, I drag the images from Voila to the Mail application. Then they email me back blaming me that I did it wrong. Yes, it cannot be their application... I send them the wrong version of the images and therefor they cannot read it. What use is an application if the attached images are not readable? And... there is no other way to do it when you need to attach multiple images to an existing email. Another example... you want to upload a screen shot to a web site. No luck... you better find the image in the file system and then upload it. You would think they would make it easy to directly find the image. I have put in this feature request almost a year ago... They don't understand why it is important and they don't care to find out. Don't waste your time and money with Voila. There is no customer focus. (Version 2.1)

NBUET "Voila" is designed to capture screen, simple image editing an sharing. That's not much, but it does it very well. Screen capture is what you expect, plus a bit more (like capture from isight). Image editing allows resize, add text, arrows, plus some simple drawing tools. Finally, you can easily distribute the result, sending it by email, to flickr or an ftp account. All in all, the only question is: is this application worth its price tag? Consider it if you share & annotate images once or twice per day. Other users can do with less expensive solutions! GREGHAUPTMANN The email says (since I bought the recent bundle) we're giving you Voila but "just visit your MacUpdate Purchases page" When I go to this page the only way it seems I could get the key is via paying for a MacUpdate subscription first. Is this correct? Is the Voila offer just a way to get us to upgrade to a paid MacUpdate plan? (even though we bought the bundle)

ANONYMOUS Hello GREGHAUPTMANN We checked regarding your query with Misha and we got the reply as follows. "No -- you don't need to pay for anything We have free accounts. Anyone who bought the bundle gets a free account (they have to make one if they don't have one already) -- then just use that login/pass to login to the page if/when prompted" If there is any issue with accessing your account or obtaining the serial code for Voila, please send a mail to support@macupdate.com Team Voila (Version 2.0.1)

After I've logged on with my free account and try to see my purchases I get the following: "Your membership has expired. To gain access to this page, you have to renew it. Do it now -- it is quick and easy! If I go to the renew now page I don't see how to renew without paying???

You do not need a paid account the see your serial numbers. This is the whole reason we create the free account for you when you purchase the promo or bundle - so that you can retrieve your serial numbers at a later date. You don't see the Voila info on your payments page, because you have two memberships - please log in using your CALLAGGA membership, and you will see it there. Please let us know if you need further assistance -Chad at MacUpdate dot com (Version 2.0.1)

PNN314 I am within the first 25,000 buyers of MU bundle (including buyers from day-1 of MU Promo bundle), and I get a new Serial Key for Voila. But how to unregister the installed version Viola, delete the old serial and enter the new one? Uninstalling and reinstalling Violla doesn't solve the problem. (Version 2.0.1)

FARIBORZ This application is GOLD - really GOLD! If you need to take snapshots and add comments or modify them to your liking then look no further. Version 2 is a great enhancement over its already venerable version 1. I highly recommend it to all serious Mac users. Fariborz AMIRSHAHI - Verona (Italy) (Version 2.0)

PATOCHE Very, very, very good job ! Thanks to the developpers, with this new version 1.1 all the functions asked are in... I am very happy and it replaced Skitch that I loved really. For the next build I would like a way to add text à la Skitch...whithout having to place the text box, choose the size, Police....for this Skitch is better, more simple... Thanks if you can do this, otherwise I can do without ;-)

SAMSON Its been a year and a half since I have shifted to Mac due to its elegance and stability and am really loving the platform. Being relatively a new platform it has shortcomings of its own. First and foremost lack of wide variety of useful apps and utility softwares. I still remember the first few months when I had searched millions of pages of Google for apps, which would make my life and job easy. I extensively used Snagit in windows and really missed the program on Mac. I really like this product Voila developed along the same philosophy of Snagit. I really see a great future of this product because these guys are thinking in the right direction i.e. to provide a easy solution to a problem. Though this application Voila lags many features of Snagit, I feel its a decent and overwhelming introduction. I trust, over some span of time it will become a must have utility program for all. 1. Capturing different shapes and objects 2. Rotate & resize of selection before capture 4. Wide range of annotation tools for illustration 5. Callouts, Spray and Stamps are really cool and useful (I never realized that I would require them until I started using Voila) 1. Sharing to web portals & FTP is absent (hope the dev take care of this soon) 2. Capturing whole web page should have been incorporated 3. Adding image on image is required 4. Watermark feature is required (Version 1.01)

Thanks for your review and the encouraging words. We expect Voila to be a complete screen capture solution for Mac where any type of capturing can be made, annotate the images and share with a host of options. We plan to add new features, address usability issues in our upcoming updates. Team Voila (Version 1.01)

ANDREW SCOTT Interesting. The shaped selection option is something new in screen capture applications. Although I can't think of a lot of use for this feature in my work others might find it more useful. There are lots of call-out features and most settings seem customisable, eg. drop shadows, giving you lots of control. For me the online sharing features of Skitch are indispensable so I don't think Voila can replace it at the moment but this is a respectable first version and worth a look. (Version 0.1b)
