THATSTHEWAY  Excellent program! Does just what I want it to! And a quick tip for everyone... If you would like music from YouTube, just download it as an MP4 in MacTubes and open the file in QuickTime Pro (QuickTime 7 is still available for Snow Leopard). Then choose File > Export from the menu and choose Sound to AIFF. Then open that in iTunes, double click on it, and choose Create MP3 Version... from the context menu! Again... Great program!

DJ PROTEGE  Cant download videos from youtube, I keep getting Pop up stating," Cannot start download", "please check log", "Log" or "Cancel", log shows a, "Can not parse html...." but i wont copy and paste it as its long. MACMAN8  I have encountered the same error message too. Once or twice, when I returned to a video, it did download later; however, most of the time, the error message kept repeating itself, and i just "tossed in the towel" and gave up on those particular videos. You are not alone. Still, this is a wonderful application and I'm grateful to have it.

-download button in the new info window

-It could fine also to be able to drag a url from a browser onto the mactubes dock's icon, or window, maybe add services for mactubes also.

KEDOS  This is a great app. Under normal circumstances, it would be much easier to install a firefox extension to download youtube videos, but this program has its perks. If you have a long list of youtube videos that you want to download, for instance, this is much faster. You don't have to navigate through web pages. I wish there were a quicker way to download. For example, you could set preferences to download highest quality available, medium quality, etc. Then, you could just click a download button next to the video to automatically download. It's not too bad the way it is now, but I think it could be better.

Overall, a really great utility that works perfectly, but it isn't normally the best solution to download a youtube video.

DRDUL  I've been getting an awful lot of "this video is no longer available" messages with MacTubes, even though the videos are available on YouTube and can be embedded on other sites. Not sure why this is happening, but it's unfortunate, as MacTubes is otherwise quite promising.
