BILLJACOBS1  I thought about downloading this app, but I saw that all downloads were bit torrent. I've been told by a friend who is an IT manager that downloaed bit Torrent files are seeds, and by downloading these seeds, you are allowing others to download these same seed files from your computer. My son had downloaded a number of files via Bit Torrent on his windows computer, and it caused hell with our high speed modem causing all others on our in home network to have problems opening web pages because the modem was overloaded. I will never download anything that I know is Bit torrent because of these past difficulties.

KRABBE  It definitely is a good idea not to use software that you don´t understand. Bittorrent clients used to be somewhat tricky to setup. Nonetheless bittorrent is a very efficient way to distribute data, and recent clients (like Transmission) can be set up easily.

Maybe your friend who is IT manager can help you with this. btw: you only seed files while running the client software and you only seed those files that you are downloading (nothing else - if you are concerned about privacy).
