EASER I decided to try this anyway. I did try some of the free methods people suggested,but I had no luck. Note, first, that the demo is useless. Note, also, that immediately after you pay, you'll see a receipt page and a button link for "Return to NothingGoes." DO click that link. It downloads the paid (i.e., working) version. That's very unclear but apparently a vital thing to do. I would have waited forever to receive some kind of serial number, not knowing that I missed the rather hidden download link. I don't see why this develop uses such convoluted methods for what seems like an otherwise straightforward product.

SHOTGUNWEDDINGS Pay per update With an attitude like Microsoft I wouldn't recommend this tool for anyone with half a brain. Save your money and spend it on yourself instead of scamware like this. Works fine for one version but then every security or OSX update renders this steaming pile of crap useless. Pathetic

DRDUL I purchased the first verison of this, because I figured at $5 it was worth it. IIRC, that was when Leopard was at version 10.5.2. Every new version of Leopard requires a new version of iQuarantineX, which makes sense to me. The upgrade to version 10.5.3 of iQuarantineX was free, but with version 10.5.4 the developer wants another $5. At the time I purchased iQuarantineX there was no indication that my $5 would only last a couple of versions of OS X. If I was to pay another $5 for version 10.5.4, there's no mention of when I'd have to fork over another $5 for a future upgrade (but I'm guessing it wouldn't be long). So I'm not going to purchase the new version, and I'll learn to live with Leopard's occasional reminder that I downloaded an app from the Internet. In terms of functionality, iQuarantineX does what it says it will do, and it is dead simple to use. In terms of value, it's not worth it. A good app ruined by a bad pricing strategy.

PABLO2K Well. I feel screwed. I actually paid for this and when the new version arrived it states: REMINDER: iQuarantine X v10.5.4 and up, will be pay updates.... So even if I was enthusiastic at first I now would recommend to stay away. This is to greedy.

Again, if you understood what iQuarantine X did you would in fact understand such. We have also seen your comments on other boards (with such low end statements, regarding iQuarantine X as (crapware) and (malware types). MAROOK So, we charge money to remove this one-up message? Yeah, it might be annoying as long as you know what you download, but when something try to run an app you have NOT allowed, you will be sorry you payed up this fee.... Ohh, and if this remind you of Window$, then I guess you haven't used Vista yet... as it just piss you off. At least OS X keeps track of what you allow, and can tell you what actual URL the application came from - even after it was extracted from a Zip &&&&&& a DMG file. Do you REALLY need to pay $5 to get rid of that kind of security? Remember to keep back up.. if you use this!

LEE123 wow, we are starting to charge money to eliminate major operating system design flaws. Can we say microsoft windows? I hope nobody pays for this. Instead email apple or file a bug report. If this does not get changed by apple i will be very disappointed. Won't be the last time I guess. No hard feelings to the developer I am sure he is worth the money.
