ANOMIA I have used this sparingly, but, already I feel it does not have the ease of use, or options that XLD (XLossless Decoder) has. Given that this is not a free program, I can only say how dissappointing... I'm sure it's development and support will progress, since it has the look of a good software package at the start of it's lifecycle; however, other than some features it has over XLD, I'm not interested in paying for, and adopting it's use just yet. Thanks for supporting mac software! PS Max(free) and Switch are other similar programs; and I'm of the opinion that right now XLD(free) is the best of all of them(it also uses the multi-core capability of a compatible machines!!!). XIAOPANGZI Note to all users: Be careful not to scroll down when converting filesat least by clicking in the empty scrollbar space when converting WMA to AACas it appears to hang the application. I've tried it with various lists of files, and the moment that you try to scroll, it will immediately halt all progress for as many hours as you wish to wait, regardless of which file is being converted in the list. It doesn't act like a normal hang, though, in the sense of freezing things up, because the application doesn't need to be force-quit, but all progress does halt indefinitely as soon as you attempt to scroll, and then you have to start the process again from the previous successfully converted file just to be safe. You just need to Cancel and Clear All, and then add the files back again. It is definitely not a matter of a corrupted file, as one might expect. Another thing I noticed is that nothing happens at all, sometimes, when converting WAV to Lossless AAC, if the Open Destination Folder box is checked, but conversion will take place if you uncheck that option in the user panel. Anyway, I hope that the company fixes these issues soon, because it's especially hard to resist scrolling. Nevertheless, AudialHub and VisualHub are definitely my choices for media conversion, after having tried all of the other available ones. (Version 1.0.1)

UNDEADBYDAWN What advantage, if any, does this have over MAX? Given that I cannot convert even 1 full track with the Trial version it is impossible to get a good comparison without buying. NOT useful at all. I need a compelling reason to buy. Anyone? (Version 1.0)

PL_SVN afaik... Max is the only one wich uses lame for mp3, core audio (not QuickTime!) for aac, latest flac and ogg libraries for flac and ogg and so on. meaning that it uses the best available technology for every file format. so... if you care about sound quality you should use Max ;-) VisualHub is a great app, but AudialHub... ;-P (Version 1.0.1)

DAN33185 XLD also uses Lame MP3, and it is free. (Version 1.02)

HOLYPOLY Max is a CD ripper. Sure, it can rip to a plethora of formats, but it only converts from AIFF. (Version 1.0)

BLACKSMITH_TB Not true. Try File > Convert Files... in Max, which can convert from any of the many formats it supports, to any of them. (Version 1.0)

MAJYCKE If it's as good as VisualHub, I'm sure it's good. Only thing I'd really like to see is support for SHN too, as well as FLAC. As a regular downloader of concerts, SHN is still a format I deal with a lot, and would be nice to have an app that handled both. (Version 1.0)

TYLER LOCH FLAC is supported both in and out, and Shorten should work as an input format. Check near the end of the Users Guide for the list of supported input formats. (Version 1.0)

SEBEHK What an outstanding app! Just like its sibling, VisualHub, AudialHub is easy to use yet powerful. I now can convert from any audio type to any audio type; usually much faster than QuickTime Pro (which I have). Anyone with VisualHub already in your possession should get AudialHub now, especially with their special discount for previous owners of VisualHub. (Version 1.0)

UNDEADBYDAWN that's great, but why should I use this over the free and perfectly functional MAX Beta? (Version 1.0)
| Apr 21 2008 |
VERYCARLA The answer is simple: if Max or XLD can do what you need, then don't buy AudialHub. (Version 1.0.1)
