RORO01 Docker and SuperDocker have common features but also complimentary ones, therefore, I would recommend downloading both of them. Special thanks to both developers for these two very useful applications. (Version 3.0.3)

RORO01 Managed to do it. The image size of Leopard default login screen background image is 2560 x 1600 - the custom image must be jpg and of this size. Used the freeware ResizeIt to resize my custom image. (Version 3.0.3)

ZO219 A-Dock is still available, still right here ... and still has an amazing number of tweaks to the dock and its behavior that Apple should have included by now. http://www.macupdate.com/info.php/id/10287/a-dock-x Still one of the best, ever. (Version 2.4)

DANA SUTTON Great app., there are several that more or less do the same thing, but SuperDocker is clearly the best. I'd suggest one change. The worst feature of the Dock is its "hair trigger" behavior when it is hidden: you just have to graze the edge of your screen for a millisecond with your cursor and up it comes. I accidentally do this dozens of times a day, a real annoyance. I remember the old application A-Dock which required the cursor to be in contact with the screen edge for a minimum amount of time (defined by the user) before the dock would come up. I sure wish a third-party application like SuperDocker would include a modification feature that would make Apple's dock behave the same way. Could this be added to a future version, please? ACCOUNTCLOSED A solid and versatile dock utility with a beautiful, clean interface, and it's donation-ware no less. Michael is impressively responsive and serious about developing this app quickly and thoroughly. The new "Clear" option (v.2.2.2) is gorgeousa great answer to the 2D vs. 3D question. Try this sweet little app, and if you like it as much as I do, be a sport and send a donation (calculated in Euros). The developer is earning it! Highest recommendation. (Version 2.2.2)

MM2270 nice application, and free is great. However, I just can't seem to make the graphic styles for the 3D Dock work for me, no matter what I try. I had previously used CandyBar to change my Dock, but reverted to the standard OS dock before trying to use these features. But it won't change my dock style. I don't know if my use of CandyBar screwed something up or not. Any advice on what I can try? (Version 2.2.1)

MACINEN I like the versatility of the program, but I don't seem to figure out how to get the "Stack -> add a recent Items Stack" to work? I have clicked the Add-button for a thousand of times but nothing happens, it doesn't change my dock. Or is this feature working only with the english OSX? (Version 2.2)

KINGADROCK I maintain quite a few Macs for friends and family members and a common complaint about Leopard is that the new Application Indictor is difficult to see. SuperDocker allows me to quickly and easily change the Indicator, as well as a plethora of other options with the press of a button. Very nice! (Version 2.2)

ZO219 I take it all back. Upon further use of new versions, it's clear: This app does accomplish very neatly what so many others do singly. Way to go! (Version 2.1.3)

JIMW While this particular incantation does look like it may have some unique abilities for the free product category, I believe you have a valid point in your earlier comment. I interpret what you were saying is that there are a multitude of other tools available to basically do the same thing, with many of those having a unique feature or two that the others do not. This creates a situation for users that want these tools to have to sift through a mass of similar applications, and try to figure out which one/ones will best serve the users needs, and once downloaded try to remember which one does what. So it is not strictly a matter of too many apps doing exactly the same thing - instead it is too many apps having the same core features with slight differences between them. This makes choosing the 'right' one a daunting task, especially for the naive user. What I feel is needed is for some smart, savvy developer to survey the selections that are available and incorporate all the settings of all of these similar tools into a single, stable, free tool with a decent GUI. That would resolve this issue and have a long term effect of paring down the choices as the others would fall by the wayside. (Version 2.1.5)

ROSENKRIEGER Thank you for providing this software for free. As stated before. It does what it says and it does it good and best of all - for free. So anyone "being sick of software like this" - nobody says you MUST use it - its a choice - and I for one like it! (Version 2.1.3)
