DOGBERT1  I have been using this software for several months now and it does everything that it says it will. I have had no problems with it and despite the earlier reviews I find it both useful and easy to use.

DORKYPANTS  This is a poorly written piece of software. (1) You can't install it unless you're logged in as a userid with admin privileges. (2) It installs within a folder in the Applications folder, read-writeable only by the userid that created it. (3) It creates files within that folder for its data rather than using files in the user's Library/Preferences and/or Library/Application Support folder, thus making it impossible for anyone but the admin userid that installed the app. to run it.

When you do manage to get it running, you have to tell it what stock exchange to search for the item you want to add -- and it can't find some index mutual funds at all. Useless!

It looks and feels like it's ported from another platform (Windows?)

PIRX  Happily you need admin privileges to install. And, other stock software can't find certain funds and stuff either. No point complaining.

DKNAPPE  P.O.S. installer ran for over an hour without accomplishing anything. Don't waste your time...

DORKYPANTS  Still crashes the same way as ver. 2.0. Still doesn't prompt for admin login & password (it just says "this installer requires admin privileges to run", which isn't any more useful than 2.0, which tried to write into the Applications folder w/o checking to see whether the current login had permission to do so).

DORKYPANTS  Crashes on launch on my Tiger 10.4.11 MacBook:

An exception of class NilObjectException was not handled. The application must shut down.

DORKYPANTS  Installation would be friendlier if the installer app. would check whether the current userid has admin capabilities, and if not, ask for an admin userid and password.

For lots of good reasons, many of us have our normal logins set to be "standard" accounts without admin privileges.
