PONY  Its been a month since I contacted the developer to report my problem, and still no reply.

I will not buy any more of this companies products.

Shame on them!

PONY  Anybody else having problems with the latest version scrambling images?

I have a large project with around 120 images. It worked fine in the past. Yesterday I added 6 more images and uploaded the new banner - around 10 images were corrupt. I uploaded again - this time different images were corrupt. I saved to desktop - different images were corrupt. I changed compression settings - same problem.

I opened my original images - all OK.

Anybody else?

(I'm running 10.6.1) and BannerZest 1.6

SZQ  This creates really cool banners. I love the different themes.

I bought it during a promotion; whilst Id like the pro version it is just too expensive.

ARTIARTURRO  Nice application, but my activation code (from a macupdate promo) stopped working! Trying to re-activate the app just redirects me to the website of ASH. :-(

DON SYKES  I've been using this "entry" version (non-pro?) for almost a year now and it never ceases to amaze me. These guys keep bringing in new themes and making the product better. I've used it on at least a dozen sites and it really makes them shine!

WALRUSCP  First off, let me say this is a nice application that makes creating flash banners, slide shows, etc. very easy and enjoyable.

One comment I have to make is that the developers should consider making the link elements to url feature a part of both the pro and standard versions. It being missing in the standard version severely cripples its usefulness for the average user who does not need all of the other pro features.

I hope the developers will seriously consider changing this feature for the standard version in future updates.

CLASQM  I would settle for being able to assign a URL to the animation as a whole - that would make it functional, not just eye candy. This really should be part of the regular version.

MEMPHISBIRD  I also would be happy with one URL for the whole thing for the regular version. As it is now, though, I've only used Bannerzest a couple of times, because I can create my ad images in another application and add them to Vertical Moon's SWF'n'Slide Pro and link to my heart's content for a lot less than the Pro version of Bannerzest. If I didn't already own SWF'n'Slide Pro, I might consider updating to Bannerzest Pro. It just seems to me that there is not enough additional benefits to Bannerzest Pro to warrant an $80 price differential.

IAMDORIAN  I agree. This sort of feature I can understand as a revenue source for Freeware, but not for a cash-on-the-barrel-head commercial product. This needs to go, or at least we need to be able to turn it off!

I am tempted to buy into the current MacUpdate Parallels bundle deal, and BannerZest seemed like a nice addition, however, I wanted to upgrade it to the Pro version as well. Now I'm thinking twice. Hopefully the developer is reading these little client (and potential client) gripes.

MACLOWRES  hello

yes we are reading the comments ;-)

as posted earlier, this has been fixed in 1.0.3

You now have the option to remove the 'Made with BannerZest' comment in the contextual menu.

DAMPEOPLES  This is a nice app, I really like the output, but have one pretty major gripe. I purchased the Pro version, and after the banner is published, and upon right click, is an ad for the company, and a link back to the company site. I would understand on the normal version, but the pro version? $130 is a bit much to advertise for the company. Granted not many folks are going to right click on it, but what if I made it for a client, isn't that what the Pro version is for?

DA_DEEF  This is a serious issue. I was considering upgrading to the pro version (getting bannerzest this week with the macupdate bundle) but now i dont think i'm gonna go through with it. Thanks for pointing that out. 1+

STRIDER72  Pro version or not, that kills this for me. I would _never_ use this on a commercial site if you are forced to have an ad on there.

Boo BannerZest! Fix this!

KLAGRECA  I don't think I could even justify this kind of behavior for the non-pro version as well. My opinion, if you pay for a piece of software, no matter how little, there should be no compulsory advertising.

This too is a deciding factor in purchasing this product, so we all welcome a comment from the developer concerning this issue.

WALRUSCP  Word out of the current MacUpdate Bundle discussions is that the developer is new and will remove the ad "feature" in the next update.

MACLOWRES  hello

I just want to confirm that the option will be available both in the PRO and STD editions to remove the mention to BannerZest. The 1.0.3 release should be out very soon.

We did not mean to upset anyone... and did not expect such a reaction. However, we do realize, now, that people might want to hide BannerZest as much as possible.

Thanks

MCSQUASH  Check the preferences, in the standard version you can turn the BannerZest plug off (and I'm sure you can do that in the pro version).
