KITMOS  I downloaded this but get a Warning message from Safari Leo that:

"There may be a problem with this disk image. Are you sure you want to open it?

Opening this disk image may make your computer less secure or cause other problems."

Don't think I want to take the risk.

MICHAEL KEMPER  I have found out from Mr. Hendrickson that there was a problem with the email address to Purify support which is why I received no responses. Everything's back in order now. I must say that in the past I have received support usually within minutes and his support for his products is the best.

MICHAEL KEMPER  I paid for this app and now am getting a message that it has expired and I should contact support at hendricom. I've contacted hendricom three times without a response and have an app that doesn't work. $19.95 down the drain.

ESPIRIDION  Unfortunately there are not many Mac tools to fight spam.

While this one has an interface that is not very Mac-like, the results are great. Customer support is also excellent.

Some people have suggested SpamSieve. I also have it and it is great, but it does NOT fight spam.

Purify allows me to report spammers and do something about the root of the problem. It's not merely a filter to keep my Inbox clean.

I've gotten many positive responses from ISPs. The latest one, summarized:

"The domain in question has already been disabled."

Great stuff.

SIDDHARTHA  Just a quick update-my spam level has dropped DRAMATICALLY since using this product.

It's a very welcome change, and turned a couple of accounts I had (an old yahoo and personal server email account) into useable accounts again-I truly believe that this program is responsible.

All it takes is a little training in the beginning, and the use of the "report spam" feature, and I noticed within a couple of months that my spam dropped off significantly. I went from around 50-100 spam messages (from all email accounts) down to 2-5 per day (and Purify catches these).

All in all, well worth it!

COOLAPIC  This SPAM filter and fighting back tool (abuse reporting) beats the competition hands down !

Purify will filter all your mail, catch almost 99.9% SPAM and send abuse reports in one click ! All this can be done within Mail.app (with some provided scripts) or in it's own interface.

It's really that easy !

Already incredibly efficient and still improving day after day thanks' to one of the most reactive developer I've ever met.

I use Purify since the beginning (was involved in beta testing) and previously used the same company's product called Em@ilCRX.

SKYCAT081  This might sound stupid but I need help with mail really bad. I am using Apple mail. I have my own server for my company and I have a Iphone. The apple mail gets 98% of all the spam mail but my phone gets all the mail. I receive and have received 80-100 e mails a day on my phone and about 10 are mine. Can someone please tell me how to set up this mail program so it either deletes it from my server first before sending or i was reading the reviews and it sounds like i can have the mail program get the mail filter it and then send it to my phone. Man i would be so grateful if someone could help me out here. I have been putting up with it for years. I'm ready to just stop getting mail on my phone.

Please your my only hope

Thanks

Bryce

JEFF HENDRICKSON  SkyCat I just saw your post, I'm sending you a link to our message board via email that will help you with your problem. I use that exact email configuration that you've described, and I don't get spam in my Apple Mail, or iPhone mail using Purify.

SIDDHARTHA  Great software, which keeps getting better.

I was a long-time user of email@crx, which worked well. I found a marked decrease in the amount of spam I received over time, and used it in conjunction with SpamSieve (also highly recommended) for the few emails that got through-I tend to like software that cuts the spam down BEFORE it gets to my inbox, rather than filters it out after the fact, and Purify does this remarkably well.

The developer is great-he is quick to update the software, and really listens to the users, and implements changes quickly.

Any of my minor complaints are not even worth mentioning, as I know they will be quickly addressed by an update (the manner in which spam is reported could be better implemented).

Overall the best bit of software for this purpose I've found
