GIMP  the reason we can't use transmission.app's prefs is because the cocoa frontend does not have the protocol functions required for the webui to talk to it.

we are still looking for a developer to add those for us.

PEDRO FARDILHA  Seems a really great idea and for a 0.1 version it seems to be going the right way!!

A few questions, if that's ok:

Since I already have Transmission on my Mac, can't Clutch use it's engine and preferences?

This way they would be always in sync.

I prefer to use transmission when I'm at home, but being able to "control" Transmission without having to use VNC would be great.

This way (making them use the same prefs) I wouldn't have the problem of duplicating my downloads as I end up having when I tried Clutch.

All in all a really great start!

KENDALL HOPKINS  The webserver running is lighttpd *running as daemon*, and using transmission to download via PHP ~> IPC ~> transmission-daemon bridge. Clutch is just a cocoa frontend for the components that makes it simple for end-users to control it.

The processes running are lighttpd, php-cgi, transmission-daemon. They use a total of

PSEUDO TASUKI  Okay. It's still a bit weird that the frontend runs from the menu bar, though.

PSEUDO TASUKI  o_O A web server which runs in the menu bar? Wouldn't a daemon make more sense?
