IDERA  What is a Windows application doing on a Mac site? And there's already stuff - for the Mac - that does that sort of thing for free: Sparkle.

IDERA  Sorry, does work with .JAR, but why include the .EXE?

STRAWDIGGER  Sparkle is an application update framework, this is a version control system ... completely different things.

Looks like they have distributed the app for all platforms in one package ... bad idea IMHO
