****.

TOMEG  jalada Language Alchemist is a solid, well built app at a fair price, overall good value for money. It is ready to hand, not difficult to configure for my purposes (light to medium use). I use several other (free) online resources in addition to jLA, to augment and refine my work, no single solution is fully adequate and you can pay a lot for not very much better results than jLA - as often as not they can be worse, or much worse even an obstacle to good efficient translation. All in all for a software translation tool, this is about as good as it gets. (p.s. I'm not paid anything for my reviews, and I'm not in any way connected with the developers, now or in the past.)

MAC FAN  Do NOT download from dishonest people.

This developer spam major download sites with fake 5-star ratings.

I hate to deal with dishonest guys.

His products are poor, and never justify a 5-star.

ANONYMOUS  To "Mac Fan": Our Language Alchemist X was "Featured Download" at apple.com in November '08 and is also categorized as "Staff Pick" on the same site.

Do you think the guys from Apple make a mistake?

BARTON FINK  Language Alchemist is one of the best translation software on the Mac. It is ideal for those looking to further develop their language skill and also need translation services for their daiily work.

A great language tool with a fair price.

ROGER KATZ  Thanks to the quick response by the developer (see his reply to my previous comment), my download and installation is finally working perfectly. The problem, which he fixed, was an incompatibility with my download manager (i.e., Speed Download v5.0.7).

JALADA  Dear ROGER KATZ,

many thanks for your information.

But the problem with our archive was based on your download-manager such as "Speed Download Lite", "iGetter" etc. and not on the archive itself. To correct your problem, we changed our web server configuration and now your download manager should work correctly.

ROGER KATZ  I get an Alert that says

"An error occurred attempting to expand jalada_language_alchemist.dmg.zip

The archive may be damaged (Error #17537"

I get the same error from files I downloaded the jalada site as well as from the MacUpdate site.

I tried it four times, and get the same thing. I am using a MacBook Pro with MacOS 10.5.5

DAN.TINIANOW  Without Asian languages, this application is not so useful to me personally. Translation Service is, for now, a good option for those who need Asian language translation.

69NUMBER69  From developer's site:The demo-license expires only after 28 days.

But for me the demo expires after quit tha application.Just instaled 5' before. When i opened 2' later open a window with:Sorry, your licence is expired.

Please visit our online store "http://www.jalada.com/en/jalada/order.html"

and purchase a licence.

What is this?

JALADA  Sorry, we had a minor problem in our universal binary which prevents some Intel Macs to start the application twice.

We have fixed this problem immediately! The old download version has now been replaced by a new one.
