TOD WICKS to the developer: 1. Is the $9.99 the 1/2 price cost or is it the full cost? 2. Once you get the 10.6 version working, will the half-price sale still be available? Thanks for creating these things - they look very useful but, alas, I'm running Snow leopard. (Version 4.2)

DOOBIEXX Any of the little applets that call for authorization crash on SL. All the other simple ones like "home.app," "delete.app," and "up.app" work. Even "server.app" works. It's those that call for permission that crash about a second after the permission prompt arises. Fix that and they are 10.6.1 ready. (Version 4.2)

LOUNGE DELUXE I bought these Toolbar Extras almost 2 years ago for $5. Now they're charging 4 times as much for the very same Toolbar Extras! That seems like an odd price strategy to me, particularly in these times of economical recession, but then what do I know. Luckily for me the 'old' Toolbar extras still seem to work fine. LOUNGE DELUXE Great tools, and I decided to buy them them right away. However some tools like trash require you to have admin rights in order to execute them. I only have one account on my Mac, an admin account but I use it without a password. These tools that require admin rights don't work as I have no password to fill in. I send the developer an email about this but unfortunately never received an answer. (Version 2.0.1)

RAYMONDLEWISJONES Um, I never received your email, curious which address you sent it to. Okay, so you need admin rights only when you plan on changing someone else's account. Like when you choose to empty trash on all users. Sadly, any app that changes something with the system will need an admin password. Like "Maintenance" or "Shutdown". (Version 2.0.1)

LOUNGE DELUXE I send an email to the address that was mentioned on the paypal receipt on November 22, 2007 at 1.33 pm (your name at yahoo.com). I'm not sure if I expained it well. I have only one account on my Mac, so I'm always admin. I always install apps for every user, if asked for by an installer. When I tried to trash something through your toolbar extras (an Apple lossless music file), the app stated that I did not have enough rights and that I needed to be an admin. I selected the space where I can type a password and hit enter key, but that didn't do the trick. All apps besides Toolbar Extras that require me to enter my admin password accept the fact that I do not use a password, and hitting the enter key is in those cases enough. (Version 2.0.1)
| Dec 4 2007 |
RAYMONDLEWISJONES So in your Accounts, you have no password entered in for your user? So when asked by any other app or installer, you just leave it blank? I have never heard of such a thing, but I will address it as soon as I can. It is probably a quick fix, and a new version will be available shortly, so this complaint will be fixed in the new version. (Version 2.0.1)
| Dec 4 2007 |
RAYMONDLEWISJONES A quick fix may be to enter a password like "sample", click the keychain checkbox to add it to your keychain, then go to your keychain access in your utilities folder and change the password for "com.electriceelprod.nameofapp" to be "" (type two double quotes) (Version 2.0.1)

RAYMONDLEWISJONES So, after some steady work, I have developed what I believe to be the "Final" set of Toolbar Extras. Burn, Delete, Details, Eject, File, Folder, GoToFolder, Home, Info, Invisible, Pause, Permissions, Refresh, Server, Shutdown, Toggle, Trash, and Up. Details will be available shortly. Some of these will be free, however there will be some that require a "Receipt" file to get past the 45 launch trial. the newest set is much much better than the originals. (Version 1.0.2)

RSEF6 I would like some help. I double-clicked your "Invisible" app, clicked "Invisible", and my desktop icon for my internal drive went bye-bye. I'm not sure what file/folder/disk was even selected. I can still access it, but it's not "visible". I tried using your app to bring it back, no luck. If I use another utility to show all invisibles, it reappears. But I can't make it stick. While it's "visible", I've made an alias to it, but I'd like to have the actual. While "visible, I've had it selected while using your app, but no luck. Any help would be appreciated. Terminal commands? Any help will be appreciated. (10.4.10). (Version 1.0.2)

RAYMONDLEWISJONES Use "Toggle.app" to show all invisibles. Then select the item you wish to affect. While it is selected, use "Invisible.app", select "Visible", then use "Toggle.app" to hide the invisibles again. You may have to use "Go to Folder" from the "Go" Menu in the Finder and go to "/Volumes" and select it from there. (Version 1.0.2)

SEF6 Thanks so much for your reply. I've been trying your suggestion since I "lost" the icon. Like going to 'fridge 9 times hoping something will appear. So far no luck. Permissions, Tech Tool Pro. Restarts. Is there a plist I can trash? I'm sure this has an easy fix. I'm usually pretty savvy. Obviously not enough. Rich Sefcik (Version 1.0.2)

Paste in script editor and run: tell application "Finder" set theDisk to the startup disk tell application "System Events" set the visible of alias ((theDisk) as text) to true tell application "Finder" to activate You may want to do this while logged in as the root user. RAYMONDLEWISJONES Oh, don't thank me. It is my responsibility to respond to any users of my software. Thanks to you for downloading it. Wait a couple more days (maybe sooner) for a new version of this product with new tools and (you guessed it) bigger icons to match the system better. I am still debating how to offer this. I like the idea of donationware, but I am not sure. One new tool (Permissions) has taken me quite some time, so freeware may not be available. Do you have suggestions? (Version 1.0.2)

KOBALT After installing 'trash' I had no option but to either accept or reject 'immediate deletion'. I have deleted 'trash' again, but I still get this insistent choice when I hit cmd+del. KOBALT Thanks for the suggestion, but I seem to not have made myself quite clear. I turned off the annoying warning you're referring to the very moment I installed OSX. Prior to installing and using 'trash' I could move files to the trash and they'd just sit there until I chose to empty the trash. Now whenever I want to move something to the trash, I am advised that it will be deleted immediately, ie I cannot just have it sit there anymore until I am ready to empty the trash. Clearly this means that if I accidentally move anything to the trash now, I have no way of pulling it out anymore. I want to go back to the status I had prior to installing/using 'trash'. How do I go about doing that? (Version 1.0.2)

O5220803 A handy set of application; easy to use and rather clever. I've would like to see a Finder complete replacement set developed. (Version 1.0.2)
| Oct 22 2007 |
However, There is just no need to replace some of the current finder toolbar items. How can I imrove on the back/forward buttons, or the list view/icon view/column view buttons? As a note, though I will mention that I am currently developing one to help customize ownership/permissions, one to replace "Go to Folder", one that will strip all custom icons from your selection would be very useful and cool, and one that will immediately put your system to sleep. (Version 1.0.2)

RAYMONDLEWISJONES I was thinking the same thing about the visible/invisible thing. Do you want to be able to make a selection invisible? If, so, how would you ever select it again to make it visible (without the use of another app. Or would you rather be able to just toggle the viewing of invisibles? You know...like, show invisibles/hide invisbles. (Version 1.0.1)

PAUL DORMAN Very nice. I make new files frequently, and it's annoying having to open the terminal and do "touch". The refresh utility is also useful, as I mount shared folders from a Windows box at work, and they don't always refresh live. I agree with the others that it would be nice to have the icons the same as the default toolbar set, but that's a small issue. (Version 1.0.1)

RAYMONDLEWISJONES Well, based off of the normal ".icns" file, my icons stretch right out to the edge (left and right). I have no idea why they are showing up smaller. The only thing I can think of is to max out the height as well. However, the normal icons that these are based on are not squares. I will work on this. (Version 1.0)

RAYMONDLEWISJONES Well, No choice of icons because I wanted them to blens in with the other toolbar buttons. I have found that the actions take a couple of seconds only on the initial run. Any consecutive runs go pretty quickly. These were created with a combo of Applescripts and shell scripts and each only contains maybe ten lines of code, so the speed probably depends more on the system and your "Finder". (Version 1.0)
