HERVé 5  I tried this app at its very beginning and posted here a worry about it not being universal. This is now solved for quite a long time, and the behavior is excellent.

I strongly appreciate the GUI, the enclosed help (including a short course on Regular Expressions...), the way the results are shown.

There are not many such "sandboxes" and this one is the best :-)

PETER R  Tried it out on OS X 10.4.10 on an intel iMac. The main window opens but then RegExhibit crashes immediately.

HERVé 5  on his site the dev does say it won't run native, on an intel mac you have to run it under Rosetta ('open with Rosetta')...

Other than this app you have RegExplor, http://www.macupdate.com/info.php/id/13271 which is also a Rosetta application, but starts spontaneously on Rosetta and works perfectly well. I use it daily.
