FERRUCCIO BUSONI  Nice -- but how about an option to hide it from the dock?

DWIMMERLAIK  I agree that a feature to allow it to be hidden on the dock would be very nice. The dock gets cluttered enough as it is without background applications occupying a slot.

Other than that suggestion, it's a nice little program that does exactly as advertised.

ORGANIK  Runs great on my MacBook Pro. Crashes constantly on my dual 2ghz G5. So, mixed feelings. Exactly what I need, but needs to uh... not crash.

STUTEMP1  Good program, does what it says, easier than launching Activity Monitor for a quick app kill. Hasn't had any weird effects on my PB G4 or MacBook pro. I really miss the re-nice feature in the old ProcessWizard program which hasn't been updated in almost 5 years and is just PPC. So I'll stick w/ProcessWizard on the G4 and use XProcess1 on the new MacBook which has plenty of CPU for my apps.

TUISHIMI  It does what it says, displays the processes. You can sort them in 3 different ways, and switch between user and all processes.

What is missing, however, is dynamicism. The process display is static (in menubar), a snapshot at the time you click on it.

Aside:

I've been longing for the equivalent of the "ProcessController" written for the BeOS. That was one of the simplest, cleanest most useful process tools ever written. Menumeters is useful, but not as elegant. Someday!
