JESTERPAUL  I've installed this widget, and set the port number and tracker URL. What I'm missing is how to drag a file or folder into dashboard from outside of it. I tried grabbing the file, then pressing F12 to activate dashboard, then dropping the file onto this widget. Nothing happened.

Anyone able to help with this?

PHOI  It makes a torrent for me fine. But I was testing it out. I sent the torrent to a friend and he dropped it into Transmission it didn't download. It just said downloading from 0 out of 0 peers. Was this my fault? After I make a torrent is there anything else I have to do to make it downloadable?

Thanks.

STEVE4656  This would be a great idea, if it worked. The widget installed OK, but nothing happens when a file is dragged over the widget - what am I missing here?

BARONE ROSSO  you have icluded all Bittorrent pythn files!!

For creating torrent you need only :

BitTornadoLICENSE.txt

btformats.py

btmakemetafile.py

makemetafile.py

parseargs.py

PSYCO.p

WOJTEKR  Eek! The issue reported above has been fixed now. It should generate totally legit .torrent files now.

WOJTEKR  *sigh* apparently the original BitTorrent tools still complain about the .torrent files. I am fixing that at the moment.

BARONE ROSSO  (not a valid bencoded string)

all torrent made by createtorrent are not accepted by Bittorrent and bittornado.

I suggest you to include python script by bittornado

WOJTEKR  It is using now BitTornado python bundle, as suggested - original torrent tools seem to go well with .torrent files it generates. Thanks for the hint.
