MAHOJAS I have enjoyed using this application for years now, and I can't find a better one on the market. Thanks to AB I now have quite a considerable collection of audio books in my iTunes library which I listen to on my iPod. It works smoothly and cleanly in all respects. All that at a very affordable price. (Version 1.1.1)

SASASUSHI This application is absolutely awesome! It does what it purports to do elegantly. I was also very pleasantly surprised at it's low price. I can't recommend it highly enough. (Version 1.1)

KZX72 What an awesome program, one of my favorites no doubt. Question though - does anyone know if it's possible to make an audiobook "Part length" longer than 12 hours? That's the max on this program and I needed a single part that's 13 hours long... (Version 1.0.11)

MERLIK I have had this for quite a while and I use the heck out of it. I love audiobooks but using just iTunes to convert the cds to audiobooks can be a pain. With this it makes one Audiobook File with chapters that can be played on my iPod. There are a couple of features that I would like but I can't argue for the cost of this software. Keep up the great work Splasm. (Version 1.0.11)

KOSOVAR1 Whoops! AudioBook Builder is not perfect: It choked when I try to join large mp3 files, like those approaching a gigabyte. But it DID convert a very large collection of audiobook files into about fifty books, each one divided into two or three files each. Only about one book in ten failed to convert, I assume because each file was too large. Still worth the price though. (See previous review.) (Version 1.0.11)

KOSOVAR1 I'm more satisfied with Audiobook Builder than I've been with any shareware I've purchased in years. So far, Audiobook Builder works exactly as the developer claims, and best of all, it seems to have a 100% success rate in joining mp3s. I've already converted a dozen books. The feature set is maybe a bit limited and the program is not exactly speedy, but everything it does functions perfectly. Best of all, the chapter creation function could not be simpler. I have an enormous audiobook collection, but my iTunes and ipod were becoming littered with thousands of mp3 files, which was annoying and impractical to say the least. For the past year, I'd been struggling with Join Together, which only worked about a third of the time, and with Join Together, I could never chapterize my converted audiobooks because Join Together requires the use of Apple's Chapter Tool (which--strangely--I was never able to find on the internet). Anyway, when I discovered AudioBook Builder, it came as a godsend and it was the best $10 I ever spent! (Version 1.0.10)

ROSENKRIEGER By far THE best Audiobook Application for Mac. The only thing I wish that would be added: Batch Processing. I would love to setup 10-15 jobs to convert MP3s to Audiobooks and have my iMac do all the work while I am sleeping instead of having to one after another after another after another... GAP1028 Nice program and does what it says. However, I find it can get lost and reset to beginning of file. I am using an iPod nano (gen 1) and when it hits some (not all) chapter boundries it loses its place and stops playing. Is this an first gen iPod problem? Is there a way of seeing play count of each of the chapters? (Version 1.0.8)

RELLIMARUAL Would be perfect, except that there's a tendency for files over certain length to "skip" on playback or to hit some kind of snag that sends you to the next file/book. Then, you've got to go back to where you left off (any bookmarks will be erased) and figure out where you left off. I'm not sure what causes this, and I believe the developers blame it on some aspect of iTunes that is beyond their control, but still. (Version 1.0.8)

BUMBLEB A wonderful application. Works very well, is so easy to use, and delivers every time. Never been unstable for me. Very reasonable price. Only minus in my book, is the 12-hour forced split, which means I cannot make an audiobook that is 13 hours long, because it will be split into two parts. Or maybe that has been fixed by now? I dunno, it's been a while since I had to make a Tony Robbins audiobook;-) Anyway, all in all, a five-star app! (Version 1.0.8)

DRG A marvel! Just amazingly good. If I had any future enhancements, it would to automatically eject the current CD and ask for the next, then automatically bring up the import window. But this is just one of those little refinements that one can do without, but as a first time user was surprised wasn't there. I have several cassette-based audiobooks that I wanted to listen to on my iPod. I transferred them to CD, then used this to "audiobook" them. Wonderful! And the price is great! (Version 1.0.7)

VGZ There should be an option to NOT break the audiobooks into separate parts. I prefer having one file per audiobook so, for me, this program is not very useful on books over 12 hours. Please add an option to make single part books, no matter the length. I know iTunes and the iPod/iPhone can handle them. They worked perfectly fine with the 26 hour audiobook (HP5) I ripped and chaptered with ChapterToolMe. (Version 1.0.7)

ROUSTEM KARIMOV I bought it today and created a couple of audiobooks in just a few minutes. It is a great, easy-to-use utility. The documentation is not required. I tried to use a couple of freeware tools before, including Join Together. They work ok but they are a bit cumbersome to use and do not save me as much time as Audiobook Builder does. In my opinion, Audiobook Builder is a great time-saver and it deserves 5 stars. (Version 1.0.4)

DOUG S. Pretty nice little app, but I'm not sure about $10 for it since I can get Join Together (http://www.macupdate.com/info.php/id/21391) for free and it does exactly the same thing. (Version 1.0.4)

ATOMIC Fantastic Software, perfect iPod + iTunes companion !!! Excellent layout and ease of use, runs smoothly on my iMac G4. Other uses besides Audiobooks 1. For the serious Audiobook listener Backed up all my favorite Podcasts like (Singularity by Bill DeSmedt, 47 episodes 19 hours) into two smooth tracks. 3.Can also be used to join Concert music together with gapless playback for older iPods or music previously ripped in seperate tracks, just do not use the bookmark feature or the music ends up in your Audiobook section (.m4b) The price is sweet even against the South African Rand R7.23 to the $1. I can not praise this software enough. South Africa (Version 1.0.2)

MACUPDATE102 I've been looking for a app like this for some time. To rip CD audiobooks I've been using a combination of Apple Chapter tool, ITunes scripts like "Audiobooker", ITunify and other tools. This app consolodates a lot of these functions into one nice little applicaiton, its definitely worth trying if you rip audiobook CD's for use on your IPod (Version 1.0)
