KEITHT I tried MindManager for Mac as a Demo in Version 6. At that time I fell in love with the app but did not buy it. I used the downloaded demo to carry out a few brainstorming sessions with a new clients. It worked great. By my requirements for the product at that time just was not there. When Version 7 came out, my business is now much busier and I had a greater need for this type of product. I downloaded the demo once more and gave it a workout... I had to have it. So I bought it. I could not see myself springing over $349 for MindManager7 Pro (Windows). I run Parallels too and could have gone that route, but I am watching the dollars, so I am happy to live with the features that the Mac version provides. Hopefully in the near future, the limitations will be overcome and I can upgrade at a reasonable rate, thus breaking up the financial hit. My only negative about the product is the non-integration with Microsoft Office (for Mac) and the non-integration with Pages or FrontPage (iWorks). From the Mac perspective at least, I would have thought that Mindjet would have been able to intgrate with iWorks as a apart of the Vs 7 deliverable. Looking ahead... I look forward to the maturing of this product within the Mac Realm! (Version 7.0.266) |
