IAN3  This is a excellent method of inputting Chinese text, which can also learn your most common combinations.

I use it daily.

In the what's new should state:

IM now remember the 简拼/全拼 frequency separately.

GLIDER.QF  I havn't use BoPoMoFo input method, but QIM is a modern Chinese Input Method and has many advanced features to help the users input more faster. And I think you can try it.

XIAOPANGZI  Is this as good as the amazing BoPoMoFo FEP that was available briefly for System 8 (Mac OS 8) a few years ago? Apple and other 3rd Party developers failed to come even remotely close to it. I don't know why that university stopped development soon afterward.

FEMIGH  This upgrade is close to magic, especially with the new ability to parse entire sentences. I installed it in Leopard over version 1.3, which had been installed on Tiger. Simple installation with a new dictionary was flawless. Short experimentation showed that pinyin characters should be contiguous (words not separated by spaces) to construct sentences or phrases. Not sure about accuracy yet, but so far it seems to be even better than the 95% claimed by the developer. Well done!

LUHMANN  I've been using QIM for nearly a year now. It is simply the best Pinyin input method for OS X, hands down. It is easy to train and thoughtfully designed. If you use Hanyu Pinyin to input Chinese characters (traditional or simplified) you want this software!

WHYTOI  Been following this IM's development for some time now. This is a fantastic piece of input method add-on for Mac OS X for anyone who has a need to input Chinese using pinyin on a regular basis. It's the most intuitive sentence based model available on the Mac platform. And for people who are migrating from Windows, it's similar to the ever so popular UNISPIM pinyin input system on that platform. However, QIM's interface is so much sleeker than UNISPIM, helped by Mac OS X and good coding of course. :)

There are still some feature improvements that can and should be added to this IM in the future eg. Edit, sort and search functions in the QDM dictionary manager module. But as of Release 1, it's perfectly functional for everyday needs. And the shareware price is very good for what this can do to your Chinese input efficiency.

Good job!
