BEATRICEBLUE  I loved this app! But yes, it does crash, and is now unusable. Quite sad.

MACNERD1984  Yep - Crashes on start up on 10.5.2, same as reported elsewhere, so it's a big fat zero for this app.

Developer Web-Site URL is not reachable.

Does anybody has an idea if this guy is still updating this peace of software?

RORO01  Just noticed three small problems:

1. Sometimes using search isn't successful for whatever reason, so obviously the user will utilise another method to find the lyrics. However, once the lyrics have been found, it is impossible to manually paste them into the edit window because an alert pops up telling you there aren't lyrics for the song and asking you to search first. Of course, it is possible to paste the lyrics directly into iTunes but I it would be more convenient if the application were to allow this type of pasting.

2. If you close the main window in error by clicking the red close button you can't reopen it unless you relaunch the application. The main window and the search window should both be listed under "Window" in the menu bar permenantly and when one or both of them is open a tick should appear in front of its name.

3. If you zoom the search window you cannot make it smaller again by clicking zoom, unlike the main window.

... but it's still the best application of its kind!

RORO01  I don't understand why - it works perfectly on my iMac Intel 10.4.10. Send a detailed email to the developer. This it truly the best application of it's kind.

JULIO CESAR SANTOS  As you can see in the description of version 1.2.1, FetchYourLyrics now has an internal browser that allows you to 'fetch' the lyrics of the current song from the Internet, so I will keep the name. But thanks for your comments.

JULIO CESAR SANTOS  I apologize anyone that thought FetchYourLyrics was built to search and download lyrics from the Internet. It only displays the lyrics that already are in iTunes. I have already changed the app description. And again I apologize for any inconvenience.

KRIS  I guess it waorks: I tried ten songs that would easily have lyrics in the Public Domain, and not one came up.

Oh well. It was worth trying.

TOXIKK  DUH! Please read the description. It does not get lyrics for your songs, it simply diplays the ones already stored in your media files.

Is it that hard to understand? I don't get it...

Is it that hard to understand? I don't get it... (5/30/2006, Version: 1.1)"

You know, it IS HARD to understand because it does NOT say "already stored" in the description file. Until you gave me a CLUE, I had no idea that iTunes stores lyrics, and maybe I needed to ADD MY OWN if they are not there. Maybe the author needs to add a lyrics Helpfile for those of us DUH people who aren't as "with it" as you. Or a simple description as to the BACKGROUND of the process of what Fetch Your Lyrics does. This isn't hard. I just didn't comprehend how it worked. That happens, you know.

Thank you for the clue in such a charming manner. Now it works fine for me since I supplied the necessary information needed (THE LYRICS) to make it work. I ASSUMED (falsely) that lyrics are supplied with any song. Silly me.

GEORGE OSTER  Nice idea, but I tried it with half a dozen songs to which I had found the lyrics on the web, but FetchYourLyrics could not find. Needs a better search algorithm.

JULIO CESAR SANTOS  Sorry, but FetchYourLyrics does not search for a song lyrics, it is used only to display the lyrics already in iTunes. I apologize if something in application's name or description made you think that way.

Check out Harmonic. It is by far one of my fav and most used DB widgets.

TOXIKK  neat little app. always wanted a decent way to see my mp3's lyrics outside of itunes and harmonic. 26 meg ram usage is kinda high for what it's worth, but hey... great for an initial release.

some suggestions would be to allow the user to select text, copy words... maybe even allow the app to take lyrics pasted into it, and write them into the specific mp3 file.

nice work.
