MIKEGEE24  I downloaded and started Doze on my 12" PowerBook G4, shut the lid, and it went straight to sleep. Same on a 15" PowerBook.

MSADESIGN  I DO use this thing. While in India recently, I had a fairly slow connection, so I would leave iTunes downloading 'Lost' all night. But when I came in the morning, the connection had been droppped. This thing solved the issue.

Yes, I know how to use the Energy Saver pane, but for whatever reason, the Powerbook slept anyway, I guess, but Doze kept it tickled.

LEIFH  I love this thing! You barely even notice it when it's running. I had to use this while I was using snes9x. For some reason my computer thought I wasn't doing anything so every 10 minutes I had to move the mouse (I was using a controller). Then I tried this; worked like a charm!

HASTE  Why would I need this if I can do the very same thing in Energy saver inside of System preferences?

PKIELTYKA  You most certainly can do this in energy saver by moving moving both sliders to "Never". But in most cases I don't want to change my power management settings when I leave my computer to process a task that won't keep my computer awake. This is just a simple program meant to help during those times, not to replace your energy saver.
