WILMA  The link posted here downloads the source code. To get a ready-to-run version, download the ZIP version posted here:

WHOCAREZ  It's a great small application, that just does everything I need. Very unobtrusive and has a nice icon in the dock. It just works. About not being able to skip microbreaks, I find it only mildly annoing.

SWORDFISH  Help! how am I supposed to use this? When I download I get the source instead of the compiled application. I'm not a programmer so it kinda sucks :(

1 request: Universal Binary please!

KIDDAILEY  After using it for some time, the only major annoying part about it that I can find is that short and long breaks are asynchronous and on their own timers. Meaning, the breaks can get out-of-synch and become unevenly spaced if you do a lot of skipping or pausing.

A more minor annoyance is that you can't skip micro breaks.

THK  Isn't that the point, to MAKE you take those breaks. Why have this "reminder" if you know you'll ignore it w... it just micro paused me, how annoying. I can see how intrusive that can be if, for instance, a client is sitting next to me and I interrupt this client to say, "hold it Mr. Paycheck, we have to take this MicroPause. It doesn't matter that we'll be finished in two minutes, my computer says break -- now break." I wish this was a "system preference."

KIDDAILEY  Wow. Of the apps like this that I've tried, this is by far the best, for the following reasons:

* When the "take a break" message comes up, it doesn't take over the focus and allows you to finish up what you were doing (you can change that behavior in the prefs though).

* When breaks happen, it doesn't start the break timer until you wrap up the task you were in the middle of! The break message is still just obtrusive enough though so you don't forget :)

* The app automatically stops the timer between breaks when you're not typing or moving the mouse for a period of seconds, and starts timing again the minute you start.

* After a break, it doesn't start timing for the next break until you start working again.

Very nice work. Definitely replaces the old break-reminder app I was using. I haven't been AntiRSI long enough to rate the stability of the app though, which is why the score isn't quite perfect.
