ANDYROGERS  It is extremely frustrating to try and download new updated registered versions of this developer's products. I follow all the instructions on Rob's web site. I use my link supplied upon original payment. "The re-download limit for this item has been exceeded." is the message I get. So then I have to email the developer. When he replies, he has to reset the number of downloads - which eventually runs out again after one or two more upgrades - unless any attempt fails for other reasons. When that happens, your download count goes down again anyway. If I can get one good download of a new version, I generally don't have to re-download again until a new version appears. Sometimes, after a notification, I end up with an old version downloaded needlessly! Why can't other developers send registered users a link to a private web site, the way eCamm does it? Or some other system. This mess discourages me from purchasing any more of these Useless Creations.

WIIMAN217  HELP!! I downloaded the free trial and it looks AWESOME! Especially with the tilting on the MacBook, I'd say it's a buy for me. HOWEVER, when I initiate the tilting and reverse the way it tilts (I reversed it in order for the water-level to remain level across the screen, other wise it made no sense), the water level became uneven. The water level was elevated at the bottom right of my screen, making it uneven. I'd just like to know, is that a bug in the free trial, the full program itself, or a defect in the MacBook's SMS (Sudden motion Sensor)? I'd appreciate an answer to my question ASAP before I go ahead and buy the full version. Thanks!

SHOTGUNWEDDINGS  1.7 works properly now.

Very cool little screen saver.

It would be nice if it was free, but you gotta pay for eye-candy sometimes. At least the price is very reasonable compared to others.

Thanks for the update!

ANDYROGERS  Version 1.6 (registered) doesn't recognize all the fish. Hold on to your previous version. I sent email to the developer yesterday; no response yet.

FREDPDAVIS  I purchased some time ago and even with updates, doesn't seem to work with OS X version 10.5.2 on my current iMac, MacBook Air or 15" MacBook Pro, all running the same system software. Was a great program when I originally bought it, wished it worked, really enjoyed the graphics.

MACUPDATE ADMIN  Perhaps you should contact the developer via the developer's website, you might get the problem resolved.

FREDPDAVIS  Got a very fast response from the developer. I realized I needed to click the small triangle in front of "Other" in the list and then the option for the program would be displayed. Works great on all my MacBook Air and iMac running 10.5.2.

HTGROFF  I downloaded the update from 1.4 to 1.4.1 and the updated version says it's an Unregistered version. Version 1.4.1 only fixes bugs and, according to the developer's website, to update it says to go to the website as shown on your original receipt and click on the download/re-download link, which I did and I get an error message saying: "The re-download limit for this item has been exceeded. If you have questions about this error message, please contact"

I tried re-installing my 1.4 version and just get an error message, so I assume I'll be without my full version (with a 3 fish limit) of 3D Aquarium Screen Saver unless I pay for it again.

DB  I too paid for this fine SS some time ago.. but it is apparently extremely difficult to contact the dev. - half the links on the website deadend (inc. the FAQ !!) and the link to an upgrade (sent me via email lo these many moons ago) also goes nowhere. Very frustrating. There is a yahoo group but the activity is practically non-existent.

At this time I would have to recommend against anyone new to this outfit getting involved... a pity really because they have some fine products, just no support to speak of. ie: tried to send an email -> deadend; tried to contact via yahoo group -> no go; tried the links sent to me and on the website -> un-uh, sorry charlie. frustrating to say the least.

DANA SUTTON  Yeah, the price change bothered me too. Hey, author, that's not very nice of you, it's not going to win you many friends.

On the whole, this is a great screen saver (in a world which has plenty of bad and mediocre ones, but very few worth keeping). But in one respect it needs improvement. When you go to the option the Use My Wallpaper option embarrassingly betrays the PC ancestry of this app. If you're going to market it for Macs, take the trouble to use Mac terminology! And there should be one more option between Use My Wallpaper and Load Random Image which allows the user to select one single image and use that as his background.

MACUPDATE97  Something fishy, indeed! The MacUpdate info section gives the shareware price at $7.50. When I tried to buy, the price had mysteriously gone up to $9.95 with a $1 discount if I also bought a second screensaver. I decided to wait to purchase when a serious price is quoted. A shame, though, it's a neat screensaver with plenty of options.

-M-  I never thought I would pay for a screensaver but I did for this one! Having your monitor apparently fill with water is a nice effect and the fish look great.

Well worth a look.
