MDOGNRDOG  I had a need for a stopwatch that could start with the spacebar, start fast, and stop on a dime. None of the other five stopwatches could do all three, except this one. It can also run full-screen.

Other people may have other specific needs, but if you're timing something that requires getting the starts and stops fast, this is the only candidate.

ALBABE  I found the Eddy Timer 1.2 here in MacUpdate... It works much better than this.

ALBABE  Works fine... But it takes forever to start up.

Does anyone know of a better Timer.

TOGGLEMEDIA  There's nothing different about this "new" version 2. What's changed? Even the same bugs persist. And none of the shortcomings of version 1 have been addressed. Are they just trying to get more people to buy in? One more time on MacUpdate? I'm not impressed.

SPUNGRAPHICS  The alarm clock doesn't run as a background process, so you need to launch Apimac Timer and have it running to function as an alarm clock.

Also, changing the alarm time is a bit awkward as you have to click the number and then push up or down arrows to increment the time by 1. You can't just type the new time with the keyboard as you can in the Date/Time System prefs.

You can't have custom alarm schedules. The alarm only functions as an every day (assuming the application is running), or just today.

It's freeware, but you must pay to get the pro features, like iTunes alarm clock.

For free it's an okay start. For the 9.95 pro version upgrade, it better have some bug fixes and free upgrades coming down the pipes.
