THAG  This is a genuine achievement that lists all of my favorite prime numbers. Thank your composites for Ruhl Bazik.

PROFAD  Here is a problem:

After obtaining the list, click the (say) Prime Number button. This is supposed (I guess) to reverse the order of the primes, but it only does a piecewise job, so clicking again the Prime Number button does NOT reproduce the original order. For example, starting from 2,3,5,7,11,13, we go to the loop 11,13,2,3,5,7 7,5,3,2,13,11. The original order 2,3,5,7,11,13 cannot be recovered any more. This goes for the Index button as well.

A CONCERNED MEAN PERSON  Bugs not fixed, Thag. Thag need to learn how to write software.

Program still hangs for some allowed values in entry fields. Limited to 99999? Don't make me laugh.

Have mercy on us.

ANONYMOUS  I enter "4" into the "start at" field and the prime number generator returns these "primes":

4, 8, 16, 32, 64, 128, 256, 512, 1024, 2048, 5096, etc. Then it eventually hangs at 65535.

Is this some kind of joke? Has the developer of this crap heard of beta testing?

ANONYMOUS  And of course you can always remark on the fact that a PNG written in RB weighs in at a megabyte and one written in Cocoa will do the job at 1/10 the size. All that bloat to serve the cross-platform Windoze community, 90% of which don't care about the difference between a prime number and a prime rib.

ANONYMOUS  As previous poster pointed out, 1 is not prime. This is an easy mistake for someone to make, but unacceptable for someone writing a program claiming to generate primes. This program is spreading misinformation under the guise of an educational program.

PROFAD  Yes, I will start with a confession that I am among those who suffer from prime obsession. Saying this, I can now make the subjective observation that this is a cute little application, and it has definitely done a nice start. A bit buggy at this stage, i.e. messing the order (no way back) when touching the index and/or Primenumber titles. Not too many options, e.g. cannot copy the list of primes (to be used for a variety of purposes, such as plotting the Riemann function). At any rate, the bottom line is that PNG leaves us with the taste for more to come! I eagerly wait for the next version.

PAUL YOUNG  Version 1.2, released today, lets you copy row information for use with other applications and files. Re the spinning ball cursor, wait until the calculations are completed; you will then be able to scroll the table, copy rows, etc.

ANONYMOUS  'Oboy,' thinks customsolutionsofmaryland. 'I bought myself a domain name and learned how to do a few things with Real Basic. Now I want to see if anybody notices.'

Well, somebody noticed. They noticed that you think its sufficient to publish a prime number analyzer that is only capable of long int range, and dies if that range is exceeded.

Get back in your playpen and code some shiznit.
