IMSINCLAIR  I just downloaded the Leapord version of Say Cheese and the Calvin & Hobbes doesn't work. Also, the buttons on the info section (back of the widget) are off-set. Besides that it seems fine though occasionally it locks up Dashboard temporarily.

I upgrade to leopard and now Say Cheese widget still works but the graphic is a bit funny.

It seems to me that there are some mistakes in html code 'cause the yellow graphic is always misplaced.

LHELDEN  I truly love this widget, but I would like it if there were more comics to choose. There are several of the comics that just give "Error" now such as "Calvin & Hobbes", "Shoe" and "Wulffmorgenthaler" to name a few. I think there are more, but I don't have them selected. I used to get all three of these and now none of them display.

If I have done something wrong or done something that I shouldn't have please let me know. "Calvin & Hobbes" is one of my favorites comics.

JETACE007  I love this widget but I'm having a hard time getting it to work on my Macbook. Whenever I try to open the widget in dashboard it flashes up on the screen for a second and then disappears completely. Please help 'cause I miss my comics!!

JSH  Loaded 2.0 and it opened fine but slowly, and then hung when I tried to select a comic with the drop down menu. Completely dead. No response. I deleted it immediately.

SG  definitely a good widget, but needs work still. This version felt much more fluid and on the ball, but had a few problems to itself. Namely, the 'next' button often seemed to fail, especially (almost always in fact) when trying to switch to the last comic with it.

And as for allowing the user to add comics, it'd be a cool idea, but I remember trying to add comics to comictastic and coming close to an aneurism... but hell, if you can make it more usable then that go for it.

ANONYMOUS  Hi

There are a lot of troubles with Ctrl-Alt-Del. The site is redesigned and we need a new CAD-core to scrape of the images.

At this moment we're still testing it.

How to solve troubles:

1. close the widget by clicking the X button (dashboard one)

2. spotlight on "say cheese" (without quotes)

3. show al results

4. drag the "... say cheese ... .plist" file to the trash

5. emty the trash

6. restart the widget

7. don't read CAD anymore until the new version arrives

8. that's it!!!

J. MARC WALKER  Say Cheese worked perfectly for some time and still works except for the comic strip Ctrl-Alt-Del which causes it to freeze and start downloading, will not quit till I put in trash and restart my computer.

AARON  I don't know why, but my Say Cheese widget stays as a "speech bubble" and no comics appear. I have tried to click on it several times, but nothing happens.

MATTHEW  Excellent concept for a widget. The Say Cheese widget froze a number of times. I had to take it off my machine when in a frozen state unknowingly to me it downloaded over 300mB from the internet. Killing Say Cheese in Activity didn't stop it. I had to remove it from the dashboard before it stopped.

As said, I like the concept but the program is unreliable.

I have very few widgets and this is one of them.

I like the way it minimises gracefully, and it loads swiftly too.

And the developer is clearly listening (see replies to comments below) so get your requests in!

ANONYMOUS  Why is it cutting off the bottom half of some comic strips, but correctly adjusting its size for other?

But I'm not seeing any support for the Sunday editions of Calvin & Hobbes. The strips that are only 4-5 frames look great, but the large prints get cut off and only half of it is visible.

Or maybe just add a small button (a small heart for example) which shows a "favorites" list when you click on it - the full list could remain.

All in all a very nice widget and with a much nicer design than wimic!

And yes, an option for adding comics would be very nice!

MIKE  Great interface, not enough comics. You need to add the ability to add comics like wimic. You should also be able to hide some comics so that they are not in the list.

ERIK  I have to say this is pretty awesome. You have all these awesome comics (Calvin and Hobbes especially) at your fingertips, in pretty high resolution. I only have a few widgets in my dashboard right now, and this is one of them.
