RORO01  THANKS TO THE DEVELOPER FOR RESTORING THE CURRENT FORECAST BUT...

... when the previous version showed the current forecast it also showed the update time in the tooltips. I remember that sometimes it wasn't updated for hours and in a few instances even for a whole day. Therefore, the current forecast without indication of when it was updated is simply useless. I hope the developer will address this and make it a five star widget again.

RORO01  NO LONGER SHOWS CURRENT LOCAL TEMPERATURE

I have noticed the BBC have recently changed the layout of their local weather page. I don't know if this has caused the current local temperature to disappear on the widget but I hope the developer can fix this.

Beats Apple's offering hands-down. Apple's widget misidentified Dublin as being in the US somewhere, failing to read my localisation data.

The Beeb's widget allows me to chose between Dublin and Dublin Airport for weather.

Most important, it's right. If a widget gets the current weather wrong, what hope has it of getting the forecast right?

ANONYMOUS  I can't get the wind speed to show up. The description says that if you go into tooltips, you can have wind speeds shown, but I'm not sure where the tooltips are loocated. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

THEBRIX  I'd been looking for something like this - the source used by the Apple widget might as well be renamed inaccuweather.com, for UK locations at least, as it is often way off. And the Apple widget silently elides "London" to London, West Virginia, which gives unexpected results anyway!

ANONYMOUS  If you want to input, say, Buenos Aires Argentina, how would you do that? What kind of code doe you supply, because simply typing in "Buenos Aires, Argentina" doesn't work. No, that would be too simple. Silly me!

ANONYMOUS  You're right, previous poster, it doesn't work. It always defaults back to Edinborough. I can't get any city besides Edinburgh, making this pretty useless. Anybody can make a pretty widget. The trick is to make it work.

JEAN-PAUL  Very nice-looking, but not working for me on first try. i live in Tokyo and the widget does not accept any location change -i tried different combinations with Tokyo, Paris & London- it reverses everytime to the default "Edinburgh". The theme selection is not working either.

Could the failure to update the forecasts be due to maintenance on the BBC server side (?), since 08:50 Japanese time is 00:50 in the UK, Sunday night. i hope nobody else will have this problem, i would love for it to be better than the US Weather widget which for us in Japan is often ludicrously inaccurate. To be rated later...
