DRDUL  A nice, simple note app. Two things would make it perfect:

• Categories (as folders, with colour-coding options)

• Ability to specify a different folder to save notes than App Support (I'd like to use my Dropbox)

TEKKIEMOM  I took the time to try a bunch of these type of apps tonight and WOW this is fabulous!

Drag and drop PDF's, pictures, URL's... very cool and functional app.

Feature Requests: Option to have title set by 1st line of text (like Stickies) and option to have index colour coded/labelled. Would also like to have ability to nest folders. Would pay for these options.... ;) Thanks!

HEAVY_SHOWER  The screenshot looks a lot like Scarppar. 08. However, I can't evaluate Noted because the .bz2 file won't open when I click on it--it duplicates itself.

GCOGHILL  There's actually a newer version on the developer's Web site, version 2.0 and much more Tiger/Leopard looking.

Also, looking forward to seeing the category/hierarchy feature added. Only issue I see in the 2.0 version is the limit to how small you can resize the window.

Otherwise, perfect little app. I symlinked the App Support folder for Noted for pseudo-sync and it works great.

LARRY2  Great Program, great price...FREE. My opinion is it more useful than MyNotes and given that it is free...more cost effective. But...that's just me.

ANONYMOUS  I like the simplicity. A note taking app is something I leave running all the time, so it's nice to find one that isn't a resource hog.

Obviously this needs a search field in the toolbar, I can only assume that's coming.

MICHELE  Thank you for using it! I'm glad you like it.

Still lot to do, though! Watch out for some new features in the near future - I hope I can decide how to implement categories soon :) .

ANONYMOUS  Hi, question.

Is this based on an app called Notes from 2001 ? I use Notes app as my main notebook, some of it's features don't really work under tiger or Panther but it's a good feeling notepad, better than any other I have tried for OS X.

MICHELE  First of all, I'm glad you like it! And no, it's not based on an old app. :)

Precisely, which features don't work for you? I'd love to fix them!

ANONYMOUS  Hi Michele, I meant I use Notes, not yet Noted. And Notes because it is so old I guess doesn't really work too well anymore, but visually from the screenshot it looks quite similar to your app so I wondered if the 2 were related.

But obviously not !

thanks

ANDREW WEBB  I quite like this simple note book. It's what I've been looking for for a while.

Little bug though if you create a note and then delete it you cannot add a note of the same name.
